A photographer shoots outdoor portraits against stone walls and slate roofs, then guests get 20 minutes of self-photo time inside the stone studio with a tripod and remote while prints are made. A Jeju, Aewol photo studio recommendation! Memories captured outdoors and inside a stone warehouse, shot by a photographer at Eoeum-ri Photo Studio.

I wanted to leave a slightly more unique memory of my time in Jeju, so I looked into photo studios around Aewol. That's how I found Eoeum-ri Photo Studio! A friendly, unpretentious photographer welcomed me warmly, and the entrance already had that distinct Jeju charm — I felt good the moment I arrived.
A classic travel suitcase under a rough stone wall, a modest window — it was exactly the Jeju atmosphere I'd been looking for. 😄

An indoor space full of retro props
The studio is split into two buildings. The first room I entered was cozy and full of retro charm. Colorful keyrings and cute little bags covered the walls — I can never resist props like these! Haha. You could feel the owner's careful touch in the way every little item was arranged.
Neatly placed dolls on one shelf, and all kinds of nostalgic knick-knacks that took me back — I got so absorbed looking at everything that I lost track of time. ^^

Outdoor stone-wall snaps shot by the photographer
Finally, the main outdoor shoot with the photographer began! I posed against a beautiful stone wall that carries that distinct Jeju feeling. (It felt awkward at first, haha.) The lush greenery mixed with the rough but charming traditional Jeju stone wall makes just about any pose look great — I felt like there's no better spot to capture a meaningful moment from a Jeju trip. 👍

Outside the building there were wooden chairs lined up beside a lattice-patterned window — a photo zone with a strong vintage feel.

The stone wall paired with the red slate roof made a pretty backdrop too, right? Even with such a lovely Jeju-style background and the photographer trying so hard for me, I still felt so awkward and stiff, haha.

The photographer kept chatting with me, complimenting me, and putting me at ease, so even though I felt awkward, I ended up smiling through the shoot.
A 20-minute self-photo shoot inside the stone-house studio
While the photographer printed our shots, we spent about 20 minutes doing our own self-photo session inside the stone-house studio. The tripod, mirror, and remote were all already set up, so shooting with our phones was easy. The tabletop signage, rough stone-wall backdrop, and wooden chairs made for a wonderful space.

Motorcycle, tractor, and other concept props
Click! Wearing helmets next to a vintage red motorcycle. This is a fun spot for a themed photo.

There's also a red toy tractor with a blue trailer that kids would love, plus a tricycle.

There's also a vintage leather travel trunk and a stylish hat. I tried out several shots using the props. Since it was just the two of us shooting, there was no need to feel shy, and it was really fun. 😁

There's a classic cello set against the Jeju stone-wall backdrop, tangerine-shaped glasses, and bright artificial flower bouquets arranged nicely. These wedding bouquet items help create a lovely, romantic vibe.

Costume rentals are available too
Playing around with the various costumes hanging on the racks was a lot of fun too. A floral top, a Saemaul cap, and a makgeolli (rice wine) bottle in hand — hahaha.

How you get your photos
We really had a blast doing the self-photo shoot. The photographer beautifully retouched and printed us two photos, which had a slightly retro feel. Extremely satisfied!!!!!!!! The original photos were sent separately via KakaoTalk. ^^
After the whole shoot was done, I took a light walk around the studio. The quiet, relaxed Jeju scenery put my mind at ease too. In such a humble but warm atmosphere, I made some beautiful memories in Jeju. ♡
