A Relaxed Italian Restaurant Near Sumun Park

Today, I visited Bueokgan Suwan Branch, a lovely pasta spot in Suwan District with Italian vibes. It was such a nice, relaxed restaurant, so let me introduce it!!

Bueokgan Suwan Branch is near Sumun Park in Suwan District. It is a little removed from Suwan District's dining alley, so parking felt easier and the area felt quieter. The exterior already has European charm, too. There are lots of trees, and being beside the park makes it feel even greener. That big awning outside made me think it would be such a great place for brunch once the weather gets a little cooler.

I visited on a weekday this time, but it gets really busy on weekends. From my own visits, there was a long wait around lunchtime and even near opening time on weekends.

A Cozy Interior Made for Dates

The interior was so neat that I immediately thought it would be great for a date, haha. The tables are not cramped together, either. It had a cozy, warm atmosphere. The restaurant describes its concept as a brunch café in an Italian forest and a European-style restaurant, and it really did feel peaceful and elegant.

I loved the lush green view through the windows. The weather has been pleasantly cool lately, too, you know? Looking at that view put me in an even better mood, haha. I just wanted to dig into delicious food and have a cup of coffee already.

Pizza, Pasta, and Soup on the Menu

As you would expect from a great Italian restaurant in Suwan District, there are all kinds of salads, pastas, risottos, steaks, and pizzas. Everything looked delicious just from the menu, right? It was so hard to choose, haha.

• Shrimp anchovy oil pasta ₩18,000
• Pastry soup ₩10,000

I spent ages deciding because every menu item was hard to choose from, but my picks were 100 out of 100. The pizza may be a matter of taste because of the basil, but the Margherita pizza had a basil pesto base topped with tomatoes, a thin crust, and a wood-fired-pizza feel. It was not too thick, so it was easy and enjoyable to eat. Add hot sauce if that is your thing 👍

Surprised by the Portion of Shrimp Anchovy Oil Pasta

Just look at the portion of the shrimp anchovy pasta. I was surprised once by the amount and once again by the taste, haha. I love oil pasta, and the garlic and oil flavors had soaked beautifully into the noodles. The shrimp were large, and the pasta was cooked exactly right!

If it starts to feel rich as you eat, add some crunch with the radish and pickles served alongside, haha. So refreshing.

Sweet Pumpkin Soup Meets Pastry

The pastry soup has sweet pumpkin soup inside, and dipping that pastry bread into it to eat it with a soft, soaked texture? So delicious, haha. The crisp pastry and gently sweet pumpkin soup go so well together. And be careful—the bowl is incredibly hot! Even when I tried the soup midway through chatting, it had not cooled down at all and was still hot, haha.

A cup of iced Americano with all this delicious food. An iced Americano is ₩3,000. It goes so well with the food, and when Italian food starts to feel a little rich, have a sip of Americano 😆 The weather was nice, and the view outside made me happy all over again for no reason. There were about two high chairs ready, so you can enjoy a relaxed meal even with children!

It was so atmospheric and totally my style that I took a photo, haha. The food was delicious, and Bueokgan Suwan Branch had such an elegant European-restaurant feel. It is an Italian restaurant with a lovely atmosphere that would be great for dates, wedding-invitation gatherings, family meals, or meals with children.
