This Hongdae bar, 'Cheongnyeon Dakbal 1987 Hongdae Branch,' has an outdoor patio, which is just perfect for this kind of weather. Next time I want to sit outside with chicken feet and soju haha~~ The patio in Jongno was so packed I couldn't really enjoy it, so a patio like this in Hongdae is genuinely rare — strongly recommended for weather like this~!!

There are also window seats right in front of the store, and the front-and-back seating there also gives off a patio feel with great atmosphere, so this spot is good too.

The indoor seating is also full of charm — it really felt like a retro vibe.

When you order soup chicken feet, they give you fried chicken skin. It came already fried, so we could eat it right away. It simmers on low heat continuously, so it stays warm the whole time. If the broth reduces too much, adding the bean sprout soup they give you revives it.

The amount of extra cheese was seriously huge and stretched so~~ far, dipped in the broth it's pure happiness haha...

The daechang add-in was crispy outside and juicy inside — the quality really surprised me. The combo of spicy chicken feet and savory daechang was great.

The cheese rice cake add-in was also packed with cheese inside, and dipping it in the broth was delicious.

We added bean sprouts too, rolled them up with the chicken feet, and yep — chicken feet and bean sprouts is a truth of the universe~

How were the tuna mayo rice ball and jjagyechi sides?

The tuna rice ball had a generous amount of rice and hearty ingredients. The rice ball had such great umami!

I dipped the tuna mayo rice ball in the broth, piled chicken feet on top, and chomped in — wow. Just looking at the photo again makes me happy...(drooling)

Surprisingly, the grilled boneless chicken feet came with a cabbage salad. The combo of chicken feet and salad was better than I expected.

The grilled boneless chicken feet had a subtle char flavor and just a touch of spice, so it was easy to eat without much pressure.

Jjagyechi is jjapaghetti (black bean instant noodles) topped with a fried egg and cheese. They cook the black bean noodles so well I wanted to know the secret haha. The sauce soaked into the noodles perfectly, and we wrapped it with the chicken feet~~><
