Yeonnam-dong coffee shop with sun-screened outdoor seats: Pip Espresso

Pip Espresso Bar, a hip café in Yeonnam-dong that was great for unwinding on the terrace! I'd walked past so many times and seen people sitting there relaxed, sipping coffee, so I finally decided to visit and grab a terrace seat myself!!

With the weather so pleasant these days, it's a great time to enjoy outdoor seating without the heat — and this Yeonnam-dong café is one of the hot spots that gets crowded :)

The weather was amazing!! There are tons of seats not just on the terrace but inside too, so you don't need to worry about finding a spot haha

Where is Pip Espresso Bar and what are its hours?

Pip Espresso Bar sits close to the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail in Yeonnam-dong, making it a nice stop on a walk, and it lets you soak up the lively energy of the neighborhood. It's open daily from 09:00 to 23:00.

A place where you can relax with coffee on the pleasant terrace or indoor seats. Along with a wide range of coffee, it also has non-coffee drinks, cocktails, and beer for a casual drink, plus plenty of sweet dessert options!

What's on the menu at Pip Espresso Bar?

We'd already eaten and just stopped by for a quick coffee, so we only ordered drinks. The menu.

There's a good variety of coffee, drinks, desserts, and cocktails.

There were familiar items like financiers and tiramisu, but also unfamiliar desserts I'd never seen before, like peach melba, macadamia platter, and stroopwafel!

The ordering counter had a great-looking espresso machine, fitting for an espresso bar. I ordered a hot americano and an iced americano haha

Inside Pip Espresso Bar: exposed-ceiling seating

The interior is hip too! Keeping the exposed ceiling gave the inside an extra edgy feel.

There are really a lot of seats, and it's spacious, but each spot is decorated a bit differently, so you get a varied feel wandering around. Overall this Yeonnam-dong café had a hip atmosphere all around!

I liked that the tables had plenty of space between them, and most of the seats have backrests, so it's a comfortable place to relax haha

Are the terrace seats okay in bright sun?

Once you step out to Pip Espresso Bar's terrace, there's a shade screen blocking the sunlight, so it was fine even with the sun blazing! (The weather's been so nice lately haha)

A space with so much lighting it really stood out. Lots of pretty light fixtures that gave it a great atmosphere.

The wooden tables felt rustic but still hip. Not overly done up, just a comfortable, healing kind of spot — that was the vibe of this Yeonnam-dong café, Pip.

Two americanos with the nutty bean option

They let you know when your order's ready with a buzzer! Our two coffees arrived :)

You can choose between acidic beans or nutty beans for the coffee flavor, and we went with the nutty beans with no acidity.

Sipping coffee while looking up at the sky felt incredibly healing! There was even a nice light breeze, so it was really comfortable haha. And since the chairs have backrests, it was great to lean back and relax.

Who is Pip Espresso Bar best for?

If you're looking for a Yeonnam-dong café where you can enjoy great coffee and relax happily on an outdoor terrace, Pip Espresso Bar is one I'd recommend. Lots of couples on dates, friends, groups, and even people with their dogs — it really felt like one of Yeonnam-dong's hip spots :)
