On the last day of our Jeju trip, we stopped by Dough Rider Pizza, a wood-fired pizza restaurant in Ara-dong, Jeju, for a good pizza. After eating Korean food the whole trip, we suddenly craved something Western haha.

What is the atmosphere like inside Dough Rider Pizza?

Wait, the vibe here is seriously good...! My husband and I both like pizza and eat it often, but this place had a totally different atmosphere from a typical pizzeria, so it caught my eye the moment we walked in.

It had this exotic feel that reminded me of an American pub, and it totally brought back memories of our trip to the US last year..! It's the kind of comfortable spot where you'd sit down for pizza with a beer, which fit perfectly for an evening in Jeju. Or it'd also be nice for a solo beer after work, that kind of place~?

The self-serve bar was thoughtfully stocked with everything from utensils to pickles, jalapeños, disposable gloves, hot sauce, cheese powder, and even hair ties — so we just grabbed what we needed!

Can you adjust the spice level on the Cowboy Shrimp Kick?

What I ordered this time was the Cowboy Shrimp Kick pizza. The name itself had such an American vibe that I was curious what it would taste like, and the look of it was already different from a typical pizza. Oh, and when ordering, it showed two chili peppers for spice level, which made me hesitate — but they said the spice could be adjusted, so I asked for it to be a bit milder!!

We also ordered a Coke to go with the pizza, and they thoughtfully gave us two cups of ice~

How do the wood-fired dough and shrimp topping taste?

The look and smell of the pizza reminded me of the American-style pizza we had while actually in the US. But then the dough turns out to be a chewy wood-fired crust..! The chewy dough paired well with the toppings, and especially with the Cowboy Shrimp Kick pizza, shrimp was the star ingredient just like the name suggests, so the plump shrimp had a great bite to it!

The plump shrimp, sour cream, and corn toppings came together nicely, and the base sauce had a somewhat exotic style too, pairing well with the stretchy cheese!

Eating hot, freshly made American-style wood-fired pizza right there in the restaurant, with the cheese stretching and the great atmosphere, made it taste even better~~

We sprinkled on some cheese powder and ate it together~ At Dough Rider Pizza, a wood-fired pizza restaurant in Ara-dong, Jeju, taste matters of course, but the mood really changes depending on how kind the staff or owner is — and the owner was so friendly that it made the meal even more enjoyable. The interior, with its strong American feel, made me feel like I was back on the US West Coast, which I really liked~ Rather than just a place to eat, it's more like a pub where you can pair pizza with beer or drinks and chat comfortably, which makes it an even better place to just relax and enjoy!
