Namwirye shabu-shabu self-bar with white fungus and rice cakes: Dadam
In short
Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch is an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu and wolnamssam (Vietnamese rice paper wrap) restaurant on the 3rd floor of Ji&G Plaza on Wirye-gwangjang-ro, near Namwirye Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. On a weekend lunch visit, Dadam's half-and-half regular and seafood broth came with a self-bar run of white fungus, sweet pumpkin, sweet potato and cheese rice cakes, plus kimchi, meat and water dumplings, finishing with shabu porridge and affogato. Adult lunch is 17,900 won and dinner 21,900 won, and apart from the building lot filling up and forcing a walk to a nearby public parking lot, the meat quality was good for an all-you-can-eat place.

Shabu-shabu is always my go-to when I want to eat a lot of vegetables. These days there are so many all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu spots, and it's even better when you can enjoy Vietnamese spring rolls too. Today I'm writing up my review of Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam (다담샤브샤브&월남쌈) Wirye Branch, where I ate unlimited shabu-shabu and spring rolls to my heart's content~
Where is Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch, and what are its hours?
Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch is on the 3rd floor of Ji&G Plaza at 45 Wirye-gwangjang-ro, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. On weekdays (Mon–Fri) it's open 11:00–21:00 with a break time from 16:00–17:00, and last orders are at 14:50 and 20:00. On weekends it's 11:00–21:00 with last order at 20:00. The operating hours are the same on weekdays and weekends, but there's no break time on weekends. Naver Reservation is available.
Weekend parking at Ji&G Plaza fills up: use the nearby public lot
You can park at Ji&G Plaza, the building Dadam Shabu Shabu is in. Parking is free for 3 hours. When I visited it was the weekend, so there were no parking spots left ㅠㅠ So I parked at a nearby lot, the Wirye Seoil-ro Village public parking lot. It offers 2 hours free for electric vehicles, so that's where I parked — but if you can't find a spot, it's probably best to just call the restaurant.

All the seats are divided into separate spaces. The window seats in particular felt completely partitioned off, so they looked great for a private gathering.
Dadam prices and how to choose your broth
Prices at Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye Branch are ₩17,900 for adult lunch and ₩21,900 for dinner (including holidays).

Once you're seated, you choose your shabu broth from the kiosk. There are 3 broth types — regular, seafood, and spicy — and you can also do a half-and-half. I went with regular and seafood, half-and-half.

After ordering, they bring scissors, tongs and water, and explain the plates. At your seat there's a bowl for shabu-shabu vegetables, a plate for meat, and another plate for spring roll vegetables.
The self-bar: white fungus, sweet potato and cheese rice cakes
Let's start with the vegetable corner. There's napa cabbage, bok choy, kale and other fresh vegetables. They also have sweet pumpkin and white fungus mushroom (백목이). It's rare to find white fungus at an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu place, so I loved it~ And there's broth there too, so you can refill it.

Next to the vegetable corner there are mushrooms like oyster and enoki. There are also sweet potato rice cakes and cheese rice cakes. And it's not just one kind of dumpling — there's kimchi dumplings, meat dumplings, and water dumplings.

Wolnamssam wrap vegetables and the three sauces at Dadam
Here's the spring roll vegetable corner. There's more than just carrots and cucumbers — quite a variety. The sauces are peanut sauce, chili sauce, and spicy soy sauce. There's also sliced peppers next to it, so you can add them to the spicy soy sauce for extra heat.

The meat at Dadam: beef neck and beef brisket
There are two meat options, beef neck and beef brisket, so you can choose. Even though it's all-you-can-eat, the meat quality is really good.

There's also rice, raw egg, seaweed flakes, and sesame oil so you can make porridge or fried rice, plus a coffee machine and an ice cream machine, so you can even have dessert and coffee.

Cooking in the half-and-half regular and seafood broth
After piling up vegetables and meat, I got back to my seat to find the broth already there. I'd chosen seafood and clear broth, and once it started boiling, the seafood aroma spread everywhere.

I put the vegetables and meat into the clear broth and the seafood broth and cooked them through.

When I eat shabu-shabu, my favorite combo is meat with napa cabbage. The meat here is completely fresh! Not tough at all and no off smell. The quality is hard to believe for an all-you-can-eat place.
With so many types of dumplings and rice cakes, there's fun in trying a bit of everything. Having both sweet potato rice cake and cheese rice cake is just so great...♥️

Cooking the meat and rolling it up with the spring roll vegetables to make spring rolls is also really delicious.

Finishing with shabu porridge and affogato
After finishing the shabu-shabu, I made porridge too!!! I left just a little of the clear broth, took the rest out, chopped up vegetables, and added rice, seaweed flakes, egg, and sesame oil to complete a savory-nutty K-dessert 👍

After enjoying the K-dessert, I finished off with affogato. Pull an espresso shot from the coffee machine, pour it over ice cream, and done.

Can you get Dadam shabu-shabu to take away?
They also sell for takeout!!! Like mala tang, they weigh the vegetables and meat, price it by the gram, and pack it up so you can enjoy it at home.
