Weekday dinner gochujang pork bulgogi set in Paju: Eomma-ui Ttuksim
In short
Eomma-ui Ttuksim is a Korean home-style set-meal restaurant near Yadang Station in Paju, Gyeonggi, now in its fifth year. On a weekday evening at 7pm the writer ordered the signature gochujang pork bulgogi set (18,000 won) at medium spice, which arrived with more than 10 side dishes and a pot of cheonggukjang (rich fermented soybean stew). With three spice levels and free side-dish refills, Eomma-ui Ttuksim works well for a family or group dinner.

Eomma-ui Ttuksim, a go-to Paju Yadang restaurant for those days when you're craving your mom's cooking. Starting a travel vlog to capture the moment and remember it by taste!

Near Yadang Station in Paju, there's a place that's become known by word of mouth for its neat, home-cooked-style full-table spread. Eomma-ui Ttuksim has been serving food made with mom's touch consistently for 5 years, popular for both lunch and dinner. I heard it's also a good spot for family gatherings and group meetups in Paju, so I went to check it out myself. Let me walk you through the menu, the outside and inside atmosphere, and the parking situation at this Paju Korean restaurant known for its neat banchan spread.
What does 'ttuksim' in Eomma-ui Ttuksim mean?
'Ttuksim' is a pure Korean word meaning the strength to hold steady and push forward, a stubborn kind of grit that doesn't waver easily.

Apparently they named the place Eomma-ui Ttuksim (Mom's Grit) with the mindset of picking fresh ingredients every morning and making even the side dishes by hand for the table you'd set for family.
That's the grit they've kept up for 5 years in one consistent way. They've stuck to making every last banchan by hand and simmering the cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) with care. From the modest, tidy exterior to the generosity of unlimited banchan refills, to the long-time neighborhood regulars filling the seats comfortably — it all seemed to explain the name 'ttuksim.'
How to get to Eomma-ui Ttuksim from Yadang Station

Eomma-ui Ttuksim is a 5-minute drive from Starfield Village Unjeong. By public transit, come out Exit 3 of Yadang Station, walk about 300m straight along the rail line toward Unjeong Station, then head straight up. It's an easy-to-reach spot for anyone looking for a quiet Paju Korean restaurant or a tidy lunch near Yadang.
Parking at Eomma-ui Ttuksim: 3 cars in front of the sign
There's a decent amount of parking right in front of the Eomma-ui Ttuksim sign, enough for about 3 cars.
I visited on a weekday around 7pm, and a parking spot happened to be free right then, so I parked right away and walked in without any hassle. It's easy to spot since it's right in front of the sign, and going from parking to being seated was seamless — a good start to the visit.
The green roof exterior and waiting chairs
It's a building with white walls and a green roof that stands out even from a distance. The relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere made it feel

welcoming even for a first-time visitor. There are waiting chairs set up in front of the restaurant, so it seemed like you could wait comfortably even during busy hours.

Next to the sign there's a standing board announcing new menu items, so you can check the menu before heading in. As you'd expect from a well-known Yadang Station restaurant, the first impression was neat and tidy.
Inside Eomma-ui Ttuksim: seating and room for group dinners

There were autographs hanging on the wall, so it seems to be popular among celebrities too.

The wooden tables and chairs gave off a cozy, comfortable feel.

With around 7-8 tables, it had the charm of a small neighborhood eatery, giving off the impression of a home-style Korean meal, a proper Paju hanjeongsik (Korean full-course set meal) restaurant.

The tables were spaced generously enough that seating several people together didn't feel cramped, and the tables and dishware were kept clean, which gave me confidence about hygiene.

It seemed like a comfortable space for both family gatherings and group meetups in Paju, and it gave off the impression of a Paju Korean restaurant good for quiet conversation over a meal.

Tasting the 18,000-won gochujang pork bulgogi set at medium spice

What I ordered at Eomma-ui Ttuksim was the signature gochujang pork bulgogi set.

It's pork belly marinated in a secret plum-gochujang sauce and stir-fried spicy — what stood out was that you can choose from 3 spice levels. I ordered medium, and it was about as spicy as ramyeon, so it was easy to enjoy without much worry.

Once we sat down and ordered, the neat banchan started filling up the table.

Along with over 10 clean, well-made banchan like stir-fried zucchini, mung bean sprouts, spicy radish salad, and kimchi jeon (kimchi pancake), a bubbling stone pot of cheonggukjang (or doenjang jjigae, your choice) came out.

Then the main dish, the gochujang pork bulgogi, arrived — a spicy aroma rose right away, with a savory depth that felt alive.

The pork bulgogi came already stir-fried, and you could cook it a bit more right at the table, so you could enjoy it warm right to the end.
The gochujang seasoning was cleanly spicy and soaked in well, and the thick, generously cut pieces of pork bulgogi worked well both piled onto rice and wrapped in lettuce.

The cheonggukjang served alongside was loaded with tofu and vegetables, bubbling away with that savory, rustic flavor.

It wasn't salty or overly strong, so my stomach felt comfortable even after eating. The banchan could be refilled too, so we could keep the table generously stocked.

Sharing a glass of soju with my partner alongside the meal, it really felt like the name 'Paju hanjeongsik restaurant' fit perfectly.
Is Eomma-ui Ttuksim worth it for dinner in Yadang, Paju?
Having visited this time, it's a place I'd want to come back to for both lunch and dinner gatherings near Yadang. I think it'll suit anyone looking for a Paju hanjeongsik restaurant, or anyone who likes that comfortable, tidy home-cooked feeling.

- A home-style hanjeongsik restaurant that's kept the same steady flavor for 5 years
- Easy access, 5 minutes by car from Yadang Station and Starfield Village Unjeong
- A cozy green-roofed exterior and comfortable interior atmosphere
- A varied menu you can pick to your taste — kodari, bossam, jjukkumi, gochujang bulgogi and more
- A good Yadang restaurant for Paju group gatherings or family outings
That wraps up my honest review of the food I tried at Eomma-ui Ttuksim.
