Green onion salt bread and mentaiko baguette at Choi, Yangsan
In short
Choi Main Branch is a large bakery café near Hopo Station on Yangsan-daero in Yangsan, Gyeongnam. On a quiet weekday afternoon, dishes ordered downstairs — green onion salt bread, mentaiko baguette, nostalgic sausage bread, and herb chicken breast salad — were carried up to a second-floor table by the floor-to-ceiling windows and enjoyed with a café latte. The bakery shelves stay constantly restocked, and toward sunset the windows open onto a view of the Nakdong River.

I used to come here back when it was called Haewoldang, and even after it became Choi, I've kept coming back — my repeat spot in Yangsan. Choi CHOI, a large bakery café in Yangsan. As a certified bread lover, let me show you the whole menu haha ♡

Choi near Hopo Station, Yangsan — where to park?
Choi sits near Hopo Station in Yangsan. It's close to Busan too, so it draws crowds from both Busan and Yangsan — a genuinely large bakery café.
Fitting for a big bakery café, there's a spacious parking lot inside the building plus another lot on the ground floor beside it.

Order on the 1st floor, sit on the 2nd
Both bakery items and drinks are ordered on the first floor. You take your bread up to the second floor and pick up your drink there. The first floor is where all the ordering happens!

Tray and tongs in hand, let's go bread shopping +_+

Piles of tofu crackers right next to the register ㅇ0ㅇ.

There are fresh salads and sandwiches too.
Plenty of pastries as well.

What I ordered and the prices
Café latte / 5,500 Milk bread loaf / 5,000 Salt bread / 2,800 Green onion salt bread / 3,800 Mentaiko baguette / 5,500 Nostalgic sausage bread / 3,500

After ordering bread and drinks on the first floor, I carried the bread up to the second floor. (There's an elevator.) *You pick up your drink at the pickup counter.

The 2nd-floor window seats and atmosphere
An open, unobstructed view near Hopo Station, Yangsan haha
Being a weekday afternoon it was relatively quiet, but on weekends it gets rea-lly busy. A genuinely famous, genuinely large bakery café in Yangsan lol
Look at all those wide tables and seats! Perfect for grabbing lunch near Hopo Station and then coming here for a second-round coffee with family or friends in Yangsan ★

How was the café latte, mentaiko baguette, and green onion salt bread?
The café latte I always order at Choi — nutty and rich ♡

Crispy outside, soft inside — the mentaiko (pollock roe) baguette. The subtle mentaiko flavor paired well with bacon and tomato inside, making it perfect as a meal bread.
I bet it'd be even better reheated in an air fryer haha
Salt bread lovers can't pass this up — the green onion salt bread, plus the plain salt bread.
The green onion salt bread is another popular item here. Sweet cream cheese paired with the salty salt bread, sweet-and-salty perfection ☆

Herb chicken breast salad
Herb chicken breast salad. Since there was a salad on offer, I figured I'd grab one for the sake of my conscience haha. It comes with a choice of sauce — I picked black sesame. If you like black sesame, go for it without hesitation — the flavor is rea-lly deep.

The nostalgic sausage bread. A pretty forgettable menu item :)
Recommended time to visit: sunset
Eating good bread and coffee while gazing at the wide-open view outside — such a comfortable, lovely time. Choi in Yangsan puts on a gorgeous Nakdong River sunset beyond the windows as the sun goes down, so I'd really recommend visiting around that time.

Being a true large-scale bakery café, Choi never leaves its shelves empty — freshly, carefully baked bread keeps coming out. That means there's real fun in picking through fully stocked shelves ♥ The second floor, where quiet nature and a lively view meet in perfect harmony, feels wonderfully open thanks to its wide windows — it's a proper healing spot to relax with friends or family while taking in the scenery. If you're looking for a large bakery café near Busan or Yangsan, be sure to visit "Choi" in Yangsan!
