On an afternoon when the sunlight settled softly, I visited Choi Main Branch, right in front of Hopo Station in Yangsan. It is a place where you can take in the wide-open Nakdong River, the green ridges of Geumjeongsan, and trains slowly passing along the railway all at once.

This Hopo café had a bright, cheerful yet calm atmosphere that was so appealing. Everywhere in the space, I could feel the wish that carefully baked bread and freshly brewed coffee would become a small pause in everyday life.

I loved the panoramic view spreading along the Nakdong River, the bright, soft atmosphere like sunlight, and the special time spent watching trains pass outside the window. With its wide range of pastries, nutty baked goods, and scenery that becomes even more beautiful as sunset falls, it was a wonderful space.

It suits everything from a family outing to a date or a leisurely tea time with friends.

The first-floor bakery displayed beautifully layered pastries and bread so neatly that it felt like slowly browsing a little dessert gallery.

The bakery case had pastries in different shapes and made with different ingredients, making it fun to compare them one by one before choosing.

From salads to Dojima rolls, items in their own colors and shapes filled the display case generously.

From flaky pastries to brightly colored desserts, everything in the bakery case was arranged tidily, giving it the polished, refined feel of a hotel bakery.

Each bread item was labeled with its name, price, and ingredients, so it was easy to take my time choosing something to suit my taste.

There were also many upscale desserts with distinctive shapes, so simply looking around was fun.

Cakes were available too, and the whole space was bright and kept very clean, so even choosing bread felt comfortable. You can enjoy the bakery items you buy upstairs in the café with a drink.

Up on the second floor, the Nakdong River and Geumjeongsan unfold softly beyond the large windows. The quiet natural scenery and the movement of trains running along the railway came together to create a memorable scene unique to this Hopo café.

Especially as the sun starts to dip, warm light reaches even into the rooftop area, creating an elegant, relaxed atmosphere like a hotel lounge.

Today, I picked out a variety of Choi Main Branch's bright pastries. With different ingredients such as chestnut cream, almond cream, brownie, raspberry compote, and chocolate, they were easy to enjoy according to your taste.

Mont Blanc chestnut cream bow tie

Its unusual bow tie-like shape caught my eye first. The layered baked pastry was crisp, while the chestnut cream inside added a comforting, gently sweet note.

Strawberry Shot and Chocolate Shot

The Strawberry Shot combined the rich flavor of brownie with the sweet-tart taste of raspberry compote, making it feel fresh and light. Its vivid red color also looked lovely in photos.

The Chocolate Shot was a pastry combining brownie and chocolate, with a sweet, deep chocolate finish. It was a good item to linger over slowly with coffee.

Pain suisse

Custard cream and chocolate sat harmoniously inside a pastry with distinct layers. Its soft sweetness made it an easy one to reach for without feeling too heavy.

Almond kouign-amann and Sun Galette

The Almond kouign-amann paired its glossy baked exterior nicely with the nutty aroma of almonds. Sweet and crisp, it was lovely to enjoy slowly, piece by piece.

The Sun Galette stood out for its round, bright shape, like sunshine. The nuttiness of almond cream and the crisp layers of pastry came together gently in this dessert.

The nutty aroma of freshly baked bread, comfortable seating, and the Nakdong River scenery outside came together naturally. From choosing dessert to resting by the window, this Hopo café felt like one small trip.

Even without elaborate decoration, the scenery itself was beautiful, making this an easy place to drop by and relax when looking for brunch in Yangsan or a bakery in Hopo.
