Ansan café for solo 3-hour work session and chestnut bread: Flowerpot

I ended up in Ansan for a work trip and decided to stop by a café. As a certified bread lover, I was looking for a spacious, quiet café with great bread, and that's how I found Flowerpot Cafe. Let me introduce this spacious café with delicious bread in Gojan-dong!

Flowerpot Cafe in Gojan-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan says it has no parking of its own, but there are plenty of public street parking lots nearby, so I parked right close by and headed in!

What's the vibe like outside and inside?

Parked at the public street lot and walked right in! I didn't expect Flowerpot Cafe to be this big before going in — it's really spacious and quiet, great for getting work done or just enjoying bread in peace.

The inside is really spacious and quiet.. so good for getting desk work done. Work goes well in a quiet place like this, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it super comfortable to relax in!?

I stayed for almost 3 hours working, and the bread and coffee were so good that I ended up ordering three coffees by myself...............haha The coffee was really good too?

There are lots of group seats too, spacious enough for several people to come eat bread and coffee together! Lots of different people showed up around lunchtime. It's the kind of café that people of all ages would like.

What's on the bread display?

I stood in front of the bread display checking out all the variety, and this orange marmalade one was really unique too. Choosing what to eat was so hard! The bread smell was amazing?

I was surprised they even had Wakppu salt bread! I debated a lot on whether to get the salt bread too, but there were so many other options I passed this time — next time I'll definitely try that salt bread too haha

The sandwich is available as a set with coffee for around ₩10,000s, which would make a great lunch substitute. I ended up getting a sandwich along with coffee too!

There was also a good variety of tarts and baguettes, perfect for a light bite with coffee. The smell was so good that choosing was really tough ㅠ_ㅠ I wanted to eat everything...........

I really love chestnuts, so I picked the bread loaded with chestnuts, and the dough was seriously so good. That chewiness you get from proper fermentation, you know? Figs were in season so I also picked a fig scone haha

I love fig scones and egg tarts so much that I picked one of each, and this scone was seriously delicious too. I just kept eating more bread...haha

There was also a wide variety of pound cakes, great with coffee, and plenty of both plain and sweet breads so you can pick and choose to your taste.

They also sell bingsu (shaved ice dessert) set menus and watermelon juice in summer, so there's a wide range of drinks available too — seriously so much good stuff here .. ♥

I picked 5 breads solo — which one was the best?

I came alone but ended up picking 5 breads ^ㅡ^ I finished them all in one day and they were seriously so good. Especially the chestnut bread loaded with chestnuts, and the fig scone. So sweet yet light, the kind of taste you never get tired of no matter how much you eat.

If you see this bread, definitely buy it and try it. The dough is chewy and properly fermented, so I demolished this big loaf in no time.. Overall, all the breads were so delicious, and it's a spacious, comfortable café perfect for relaxing with coffee. It seems like a café that's truly serious about bread — everything was delicious, and it's a place I want to come back to every time I'm in Ansan ♥
