Gim Geumja Sutbul Galbi is a chain, so I've been to a few locations before, but this Daeyeon branch felt especially friendly and the food tasted even better. It's already famous for its ribs, but the vibe and hand-taste vary a bit branch to branch — the staff here took really good care of us, so it was a genuinely pleasant meal.

These days a proper meat feast can hit your wallet hard, so I wanted to record this Daeyeon-dong meat restaurant where we ate until stuffed for just over ₩50,000 for two. I'll lay out the parking tip and the best menu combo below.

Where is Gim Geumja Sutbul Galbi Daeyeon Branch, and where do you park?
Gim Geumja Sutbul Galbi Daeyeon Branch is at 185-5 Suyeong-ro, 1st floor, Nam-gu, Busan, and it's a 5-minute walk from the Nam-gu Office parking lot. On weekends, parking there is free too.
There's not much parking right in front of the restaurant, so we used the Nam-gu Office lot. Parking the car and strolling over took about exactly 5 minutes, so it wasn't a hassle to find at all. Since we visited on a weekend, there was no parking fee at the Nam-gu Office either, so we got in stress-free.

What the room feels like and what to order first
Gim Geumja Sutbul Galbi Daeyeon Branch is a comfortable, spacious place, perfect for a family meal or a group gathering. Inside, the tables weren't cramped and the ventilation was good, so it felt pleasant.

Even though it was early evening, there were quite a few families and groups dining. We ordered the well-known combo of marinated ribs 600g + Geumja Cheongyang Cream Udon set (₩38,900), plus the first-order bonus bone soup (₩1,000), mul-naengmyeon for a meal (₩5,800), and a drink (₩2,000).

The table was set quickly and the staff kindly tended the grill for us, so we got to start eating comfortably.
You can grab more side dishes from the self-serve bar if you run out.
Why marinated galbi and Geumja Cheongyang Cream Udon work together
The sweet-salty marinated ribs at Gim Geumja Sutbul Galbi Daeyeon Branch are balanced out perfectly by the spicy, creamy Geumja Cheongyang Cream Udon, which cuts through the richness. The marinated ribs are such a proven dish that they barely need explaining — soft, with a subtle charcoal aroma that was excellent.

And the Geumja Cheongyang Cream Udon that came with the set was the real star.

You can adjust the spice level to taste, and thanks to the creamy sauce, switching back and forth with the meat meant we never got tired of it.
I think it would make a great drinking snack too.

Finishing with 1,000-won bone soup and mul-naengmyeon
The bone soup we ordered for a thousand won was kept from going cold by sitting it on top of the grill, so we could eat it piping hot all the way through — and at this Daeyeon branch, the bones had noticeably more meat clinging to them, which was fun to pick at.

Cleansing our palates with the icy mul-naengmyeon rounded things off perfectly at this Daeyeon-dong meat restaurant.

Who Gim Geumja Sutbul Galbi Daeyeon Branch suits
- Anyone looking for a good-value meat restaurant for a Daeyeon-dong family meal
- Anyone scouting a group dinner or gathering spot in Daeyeon-dong
- Anyone curious about the unusual combo of ribs with spicy cream udon
- Anyone who needs a hearty broth with the ₩1,000 first-order bone soup

How I ordered it: the 50,700-won dinner for two
Since I drove this time, we skipped alcohol and focused on the meal with a drink instead. Even after ordering everything — ribs 600g, cream udon, bone soup, mul-naengmyeon, and a drink — the bill came out to ₩50,700, which made me think this really is the ultimate value meat restaurant in Daeyeon-dong.

Parking at the Nam-gu Office and getting the free weekend parking on top of it made it feel even more worthwhile. Not sure yet whether next time I'll leave the car home and pair the cream udon with a cold drink, or try one of the stews — haha.

It was a filling evening where we got to enjoy a full ribs course for just over ₩50,000.
