Daeyeon-dong soba restaurant in Busan: cold soba tonkatsu, Misikga-ui
In short
Misikga-ui Udon Daeyeon Direct Branch (미식가의 우동 대연직영점) is a tonkatsu and soba restaurant in Nam-gu, Busan, right in front of Daeyeon Station Exit 6. Lunch with a child here meant one cold soba tonkatsu, cold soybean noodles and udon tonkatsu, plus unlimited rice and curry, and the thick Japanese-style tonkatsu and the iced soba broth stood out most. Misikga-ui Udon is a good call when you want cold noodles for a summer lunch.

Here's my nth review of Misikga-ui Udon Daeyeon, a tonkatsu spot in Daeyeon-dong, Busan. Since summer hit, I've basically been living on cold soba and cold soybean noodles haha.

Where is Misikga-ui Udon Daeyeon Direct Branch, and is there parking?
Misikga-ui Udon Daeyeon Direct Branch sits right at Daeyeon Station Exit 6. Super accessible, and if you're driving, there's a parking lot behind the store so parking is easy too.

Partitioned seats, bar seats and baby chairs at Misikga-ui Udon
Here's the inside. Every seat has a partition so you can eat really privately. We came well past lunch rush and the window seats were still full, so I only got photos of the inner seating.

The seat backs are so high you can barely see the row behind you, which makes for a really comfortable meal. There's also bar seating, so eating solo works fine too : )

Menu, promotions and unlimited rice and curry
Promotion alert: draft beer for ₩1,990! That sign caught my eye — beer lovers take note. Also, if you sign up for Naver Place notifications, they'll give you a free Ramune or Crayon Shin-chan cider, so sign up and show it to staff.
For mains they've got yakiniku set, jumbo set (pan-moil/soba platter), combo set (udon), hamburg steak set, hamburg cutlet set, cold soba tonkatsu, pan-moil, cold soba, soybean noodles, soba soybean noodles, buk-gake udon, perilla oil soba, yakiniku grill, salmon sashimi, buttered abalone, chicken nanban, octopus wasabi, grilled pollock roe, hamburg cutlet, cube cheese, potato croquette, and more. There are also sides like shrimp tempura, curry egg rice, and fried egg. The curry egg rice was ₩2,000 and made a great extra order for the kids.

An easier way to enjoy Misikga-ui Udon! Rice and curry are unlimited — just press the staff call button. In this high-price era, unlimited rice and curry is genuinely touching, owner-nim, thank you.
What we ordered: cold soba tonkatsu, cold soybean noodles, udon tonkatsu
We went with 1 cold soba tonkatsu, cold soybean noodles, and udon tonkatsu — order complete!

I usually just get cold soba, but this time I tried something different and ordered cold soybean noodles and udon too.

Thick Japanese-style tonkatsu at Misikga-ui Udon
First up — the star of Misikga-ui Udon, the tonkatsu. Just looking at it, you can tell it's crispy : ) As always, the tonkatsu at Misikga-ui Udon delivers. It's Japanese-style, really thick and fried to a perfect crisp — so good. The staff kindly brought scissors, a baby bowl, fork, and spoon, so I could easily cut it up for my kid.

Why the cold soba was the best dish of the meal
The cold soba here — honestly, just eat it, no questions asked. One bite and it's cool all the way down to your chest.

For me personally, the cold soba was number one! Ice-cold broth cool all the way down, with springy soba noodles ~ slurp it down and the summer heat just vanishes.

Cold soybean noodles: thick and nutty
Next — I'm a soybean noodle lover, and since Misikga-ui Udon also sells cold soba, I figured I'd try it this time.

It's thick and nutty right off the bat. I love a thick soybean broth, and with ice added it wasn't watered down at all — just nutty and so good. Great value for the portion and generous serving too. Totally satisfied!

Coffee after lunch at Misikga-ui Udon
After a great meal, dessert — I had coffee too, of course. We drank it while waiting before being seated, and there was plenty of ice to refill on, which I did. If you're craving good tonkatsu, soba, udon, or other Japanese food, I highly recommend Misikga-ui Udon!
