Namyangju dog-friendly café with river-view terrace and gelato: MR
In short
MR Namyangju Main Branch is a dog-friendly café in Namyangju, Gyeonggi, with an outdoor terrace overlooking the Bukhan River. The writer brought her dog Cookie and her mother for a Mountain Burger, bongolre pasta (clam pasta), and shrimp tomato pasta, finishing with a gelato dessert that stole the show. The food is a cut above most dog-friendly cafés, so this one is worth visiting on a nice day.

MR Namyangju Main Branch, a dog-friendly café in Namyangju
A Bukhan River café trip with my dog and my mom
Last weekend the weather was so nice that I brought my cute dog Cookie and my mom to MR Namyangju Main Branch, a dog-friendly café in Namyangju with a wide-open river view! These days when the weather's good, I find myself hunting for places I can take my dog. Sitting right by the Bukhan River, MR turned out to be a fantastic choice.

An open-air terrace and interiors full of atmosphere

The weather was so nice that day I felt like I was abroad, haha. The entrance to MR is pretty too.

There's a big parking lot right in front of the café, so no worries about parking there. We went pretty much right at opening, but since it was a weekend, there were already a lot of cars.

The building's modern, clean exterior has a smiley-face photo spot, and the terrace seating is really pretty too. The yard is laid with pretty gravel, and there are lovely parasols and outdoor tables scattered around. The outdoor space is quite large and comfortable, making it a great spot to bring your dog.

There's a large glass door leading inside with a quirky design — push one side and the other side opens — so I was full of curiosity right from the entrance.

The owner must love plants. As soon as you walk in, lush green plants greet you. I was struck by the spacious table spacing and how open the interior felt. There are dog photo spots scattered throughout, which made it all feel really cute.
Pure healing: a picture-perfect river-view outdoor seat

This place's biggest charm is the sweeping Bukhan River view! Sitting in the shade under a parasol with a cool river breeze blowing in, the green mountains and river laid out before me — just looking at it felt like real healing. So we set up with Cookie on the outdoor terrace.

With the gravel path, grass, and blue sky all coming together, every shot came out looking like a life shot! Cookie looks happy too, doesn't she? 😊

Our Cookie doesn't really like having her photo taken. Usually when I point the camera at her, she turns her head away — but that day she must have been in a good mood. I got tons of life shots ♡

As a café also known for brunch in Namyangju, there were lots of delicious-looking brunch items on the menu. We ordered one each of the signature Mountain Burger, shrimp pasta, and bongolre (clam pasta).
Brunch that's perfect from visuals to taste

Mountain Burger, shrimp tomato pasta, bongolre pasta, and a cool americano — the visuals are so good!
Eating brunch under an outdoor parasol looking out at the river view — just the look of it alone made my mouth water.

Mountain Burger
The Mountain Burger is the café's signature burger, packed with beef patty, bacon, hash brown, cheese, egg, romaine, tomato, and onion — and maybe because it's so loaded, the flavor was rich too. The fries that came with it were also really good!

Bongolre pasta
The bongolre pasta (clam pasta), with springy noodles and a generous amount of clams, was also very satisfying.

Shrimp tomato pasta
This is a shrimp pasta where you can choose the base from tomato, oil, cream, or rosé — we went with tomato! With arugula added, it was fresh, and the sauce soaked into the noodles nicely, so even my mom, who doesn't usually enjoy rich food, ate it happily.

The real kick: gelato dessert
And the real kick was the dessert! The ice cream was gelato, and it was completely, wonderfully chewy. Easily the best ice cream I've had at a café recently! And paired with the cheesecake, it was so good!!
Overall thoughts
With its gorgeous river view, outdoor space, and brunch as good as a proper restaurant's, this is a Namyangju dog-friendly café that also counts as a real restaurant. Dog-friendly cafés usually fall a bit short on food, but this one is easily one of the best brunch spots in Namyangju! On a nice day, we got tons of pretty life shots and spent such a happy time with Cookie and my mom 😊 Highly recommend it if you're looking for a dog-friendly café in Namyangju!
