Weekday parking and tomato juice at Waltz and Dr. Mahn, Namyangju café
In short
Waltz and Dr. Mahn is a large riverview café in Joan-myeon, Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do, along Bukhangang-ro. Visiting on a weekday afternoon, the writer parked easily in the spacious lot and ordered a waffle, tomato juice, and a coffee float, though every window seat was already taken. With hassle-free parking and a kids' zone kept separate from the main seating, it's a solid pick for a family or couple outing.

A riverview café with a view of the river — Waltz and Dr. Mahn
Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do | Large café Waltz and Dr. Mahn

This Namyangju café is open year-round, 11:00-21:00, last order at 20:00
A large café that's easy to park at
A large café that's easy to park at

I visited on a weekday afternoon, and the parking lot at Waltz and Dr. Mahn was so~ spacious I didn't have to worry about parking at all! It's easy for new drivers to get to and park comfortably.

A river view with Friday concerts
Every Friday there's a concert here, and with the river view the atmosphere is great — it seems like a nice spot to spend time listening to music.

Concert info is posted inside the café, so if you're into that kind of thing or live nearby, it'd be a nice place for a stroll.

There were outdoor seats too, but since it was hot that day nobody was sitting outside. Once the weather cools down, I bet lots of people will eat out there.

A brunch café full of antique pieces
The inside of Waltz and Dr. Mahn is full of antique pieces, and since it's a brunch/café you can have a meal or just tea time.

If you write a receipt review you can get a coffee, so I hope people who like that take advantage of it!

Even on a weekday afternoon, the window seats were full
The café was so packed there was barely a seat left. I wanted to sit by the window but there weren't any spots, so I settled for whatever was left. If it's this busy on a weekday afternoon, weekends must be even worse.

To the right of the entrance there's more seating, but that's the kids' zone, mostly families with children, so I skipped it. It was nice that the kids' zone is kept separate from the regular seating.

We ordered one drink, one coffee, one waffle
Most of the menu is tea and lots of coffee varieties, plus cake and waffles, so we ordered one drink, one coffee, and one waffle.

Waltz and Dr. Mahn is also a filming location that's appeared in a drama, and seeing it in person, it does feel a bit like a movie set.

Fruit waffle, ₩25,000
The waffle came topped with ice cream and various fruits like orange, grapes, and blueberries, and the flavor was refreshing.

When ordering just a drink feels awkward, this seems like a good snack to pair with it.

My husband and I chatted for about 30 minutes, and the whole time customers kept streaming in nonstop. Most seemed to be families or couples — since there aren't many large riverview cafés in Namyangju, this seems to be where everyone ends up.

Tomato juice, ₩16,000
I'm not a coffee person, so I ordered tomato juice — the flavor wasn't anything particularly special, just a fine, ordinary tomato juice. Fresh fruit juices include blueberry, mango, raspberry, orange, and kiwi, and there are also seasonal options like strawberry and watermelon.

A Bukhan River café good for anniversaries
You can spend a nice time looking out at the Bukhan River, and it seems like a good place for anniversaries. They also have lobster and steak, so you can enjoy it as a lunch or dinner course.
You can also buy coffee beans, coffee sets, and roasters here. There are antique coffee cups too, which seems like a store worth browsing for anyone who collects coffee cups.
