Bupyeong sushi buffet after work with Mom: KuuKuu Gold
In short
KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch is a sushi buffet in Bupyeong, Incheon, near Bupyeong Market Station. After work, my mom and I ate probably 40 pieces of sushi, plus fruit, salad, and desserts, yet there was still so much we missed. Verdict: a place I want to revisit when I want to try lots of things.

KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch near Bupyeong Market Station
I visited KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch (쿠우쿠우 골드 부평점) with my mom right after work. I absolutely love sushi! And I wanted to eat lots of different things too (๑•᎑•๑)♬*゜ I’ve been to KuuKuu plenty of times, but it was my first time at a Gold branch, so I was curious..! Here’s my honest review for anyone wondering what it was like.
It is so accessible—just a five-minute walk from Exit 5 of Bupyeong Market Station on Incheon Subway Line 1. There is a dedicated parking lot too, so you can park without worrying about parking fees if you drive.
Take the elevator up to the ninth floor of the shopping building and KuuKuu is right in front of you. Its name is neatly displayed against warm brown tones.
To the right of the restaurant was a KuuKuu photo-booth setup. It is free for KuuKuu customers only.
Spacious window seating with an open feel
As you would expect from a KuuKuu Gold branch, the interior was quite spacious. There were seats right beside the area where the food is displayed, too,

and on the opposite side, there was airy seating by the windows as well. We sat by a window, and I loved that the light came in nicely so it did not feel stuffy.

So many kinds of sushi at the Gold branch
Unlike a regular KuuKuu, the Gold branch had a huge variety of sushi ready to go.

From left to right: crab salad gunkan sushi / tuna salad gunkan sushi.

Don’t they look delicious just from the visuals alone.. ♡

Some items were occasionally gone, but the chefs refilled them quickly!

From left to right: fresh fish and aged kimchi sushi / cheese shiro.. sushi. The name is cut off in the photo, so I am not sure exactly what kind of sushi it was..
There were also all kinds of shrimp sushi, tuna sushi, salmon sushi, and so on.. There were way~ too many kinds to capture them all in photos, so if you are curious, go see for yourself ( •͈ᴗ•͈)◞

Plenty of hot dishes beyond sushi
There were many different hot dishes prepared in addition to sushi.

From left to right: gamjatang fried rice, cheese tteokgalbi (grilled minced beef patties), and cheese tomato monkfish steak. I was so full that I could not try them, which was a shame—they all looked delicious one by one..!

The dishes in the left photo are yaki udon / tomato pasta, and those in the right photo are tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) / stir-fried sausage and vegetables.

There were dishes such as palbochae (stir-fried seafood and vegetables) / fish-cake skewer soup, too.

There was ox-knee seolleongtang (beef-bone soup) / nurungji-tang (scorched-rice soup), among other soups—not just one kind.
Grilled oysters / smoked pork belly / lamb chops. Such an impressive lineup, every bit as much as the sushi (๑•̀ᴗ•̀)*
Smoked chicken / whole roasted smoked salmon / salmon gills. Looking back while writing this, there are so many things I did not get to try.. I have to go again.
DIY tacos / tofu lasagna. The ingredients were set out separately so you can make tacos yourself!
French fries / guobaorou (sweet-and-sour crispy pork) / grilled king oyster mushrooms / en croûte soup. I have shown you so many dishes, but.. not even a quarter of a quarter of the whole selection.

From seafood to salads and desserts
Seasoned raw shrimp / soy-marinated salmon / king prawns. A corner seafood lovers simply cannot pass by.. ♡
There were lots of salads to enjoy lightly before or after a meal, too!

Salmon / cheese tandoori / imitation crab / kabocha squash.

Basic / Caesar / roasted mushroom. Can you see how many kinds of salad there really were?
There was a big spread of refreshing fruit for cleansing your palate, too ´・ᴗ・`

For dessert, there were slices of cake, crepe cake, cream puffs, and more.. There was a tremendous variety here too.

There were so many noodle choices that I regret not being able to show them all.. You can have noodle dishes such as udon or jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) cooked too, so everyone, give them a try~

Soft drinks / beer—drinks you can help yourself to freely! There were zero-calorie sodas too. KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch even has wine.. ♡
They also had high-quality ice cream, like at a specialist ice-cream shop. I was so busy eating the little bead ice cream that I forgot to eat the rest.... I guess I really need to go back soon.
The day I ate probably 40 pieces of sushi
I usually have a small appetite, but I ate quite a lot. I was so focused on eating that I stopped taking photos midway through.. but I probably ate 40 pieces of sushi alone (+ tteokbokki, soup, desserts, fruit, pizza, and more).
Wow, looking at the photos makes me want to eat it again.
When my mouth started to feel a little heavy, I also had refreshing fruit and salad. And finally, bead ice cream.. ♡ I ate seriously x1000 so much—probably the most I have eaten in a while!
Even so, I was sad that there were still so many dishes I had not tried.. I need to visit again before this year is over. If you are looking for great sushi in Bupyeong, hurry over to KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch while the discount is on! Thanks to it, I had a delicious day!
