Dangsan bossam restaurant with air-conditioned patio: Cheongun Bossam

I was craving bossam today, so I headed to Cheongun Bossam near Dangsan Station.

How far is Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch from Dangsan Station?

Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is about 247m from Dangsan Station Exit 13, so it's an easy walk from the station.

With the weather being so nice lately, I'd been looking for a place I could eat at outdoors in the evening, and this place looked just right.

There were patio-style seats outside too, great for visiting on a nice day.

Small bossam set, with a 6,000-won gaburisal (pork jowl) upgrade

I ordered the small size bossam set. You can choose between ogyeopsal (pork belly) and gaburisal (pork jowl) for the bossam, and I paid a 6,000-won upgrade to go with gaburisal.

I love tender, melt-in-the-mouth gaburisal bossam.

Apparently Cheongun boils the bossam fresh every morning.

Tasting it, the gaburisal was really soft. The meat was tender and juicy with no dry feeling, and it paired well with the bossam kimchi. Ssamjeot (dipping sauce) came out too, so it was fun mixing and matching kimchi, meat, and sauce.

The noodle pick: tray makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles)

With the bossam set, you can choose a noodle dish: dongjuk kalguksu (clam knife-cut noodles), spicy kalguksu, or tray makguksu (buckwheat noodles), pick one.

I went with makguksu that day.

Time to mix it up nicely~~

The makguksu had a tangy flavor, which went well alongside the bossam. The savory pork and tangy noodles kept me reaching for more, and I ended up finishing every last bite of noodles that day. I glanced over at the next table and someone was eating the spicy kalguksu, which also looked delicious. If you're looking for good kalguksu near Dangsan Station, this menu lineup seems like a solid option.

It was a bit warm that day before the sun went down, but the patio seats were directly connected to the indoor hall through a folding door. Thanks to that, even sitting outside, the indoor air conditioning drifted through and I could eat comfortably cool.

Sitting outside on a nice day eating bossam, the atmosphere was great and the food was delicious — I was glad I chose the patio that day. If you're looking for a patio spot in Dangsan this season, this kind of vibe is worth enjoying.

Lunch set meals, and the seafood pancake to try next

They also have a bossam set meal or a jjukkumi (spicy octopus) set meal for lunch, so it looked good for a lunch visit too. For dinner, having bossam with a noodle side made for a pretty filling meal. I was too full to try it this time, but from the photos, the squid seafood pancake looked so delicious... Next time I visit, I'd like to try the kalguksu or the seafood pancake too.

It's also close to the Han River, so it could work as a course: play by the Han River, then head over to Dangsan for dinner.
