Bangi-dong Korean BBQ with beef hangover ramyeon: Yukmong Bangi
In short
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Seokchon Lake and the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa, Seoul, occupying a whole building with floor-to-ceiling windows and curtain-screened private seats on the first and second floors. A griller cooked two servings each of snowflake pork neck and rib pork belly at the table, served alongside the limited-edition Shrek Galbi, caviar cheese egg custard, marbled beef hangover ramyeon and the house doenjang stew. The fish tamarind sauce suited both cuts so well that a refill was ordered, making Yukmong Bangi a satisfying pick for a team dinner or a date.

How to get to Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, and where to park
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is really close to Songpanaru Station. Walk out of Exit 1 and it's about 3–4 minutes on foot. It's also right near Seokchon Lake, which has a great view, so the location is excellent. As for parking, there's room for about 4 cars in front of the restaurant, so that's convenient too.
You can come by public transit or drive over without any hassle — either way works fine!
Floor-to-ceiling windows and curtained private seats: the look and feel of Yukmong Bangi

The exterior is genuinely upscale — you can feel that sleek, sophisticated vibe you'd expect this close to Seokchon Lake.

Inside, the space is split across the 1st and 2nd floors, both with floor-to-ceiling windows that give a great view. The tables are spaced out generously too, so you can eat comfortably without feeling cramped.

What's special is that there's also seating you can close off privately with curtains — really great for company dinners! Every table has its own grill, and the interior design is sleek and full of atmosphere.
What's on the menu at Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch?
Yukmong's menu is really varied. There are basic hanwoo (Korean beef) and pork set menus, plus a lot of individual items. The hanwoo special assorted set lets you enjoy several cuts at once, and there's also a seasonal sashimi assorted set. You can choose from the limited-edition Shrek Galbi, rib pork belly, snowflake pork neck, and more. Prices are reasonable and the quality is high. Individual menu items start from 150g, so you can pick exactly what you want!
The side dishes and the six dipping sauces

First, let me introduce the side dishes and sauces. Yukmong really doesn't skimp on either.

There's ssamjang (soybean paste dip), Maldon salt, fish tamarind sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger, plus fresh lettuce for wraps. My expectations were already rising at this stage!
Snowflake pork neck and rib pork belly, two servings each, grilled at your table

I ordered snowflake pork neck and rib pork belly, two servings of each. They looked special from the moment they arrived — plated on upscale dishware and decorated with flowers.

The really great part about this place is that staff grill the meat carefully for you at the table. The meat quality is so good that even the thick cuts stay juicy. They use premium Maldon salt too, which is honestly perfect for bringing out the meat's flavor.
What surprised me most was the fish tamarind sauce. It worked beautifully with both the pork neck and the rib pork belly. The meat was already delicious, but this sauce took it up a level. I liked it so much I ordered more!
For the best bite, put a piece of meat on a lettuce leaf, add onion and seasoned fish roe, and wrap it up — that combination really pops in your mouth.

What does the limited-edition Shrek Galbi taste like?
One dish I really have to recommend is Shrek Galbi! It's a limited-edition item, and 'unusual gem' is really the right way to describe it — it's green, just like Shrek. And oddly enough, it stays green even after grilling! The flavor is quite distinctive: a slightly sweet garlic note with a chicken-like savoriness underneath. It's not a marinade you see often, so it's genuinely surprising the first time you try it. It's seriously good — you have to try it!
Sides: caviar cheese egg custard, marbled beef hangover ramyeon and house doenjang stew
For sides, I ordered caviar cheese egg custard, marbled beef hangover ramyeon (chadol haejang-ramyeon), and house doenjang stew (jjigae).

The caviar cheese egg custard is outstanding. It's loaded with egg, wonderfully fluffy, and they don't hold back on the caviar. That popping texture takes it over the top — for this price, you have to order it!

The marbled beef hangover ramyeon is going to be a hit with true ramyeon lovers. It's loaded with thinly sliced marbled beef, so the broth has that rich meaty depth soaked right into the noodles. It's not too salty, so you just keep eating.

The house doenjang stew is packed with big chunks of radish and tofu, made in a homestyle way. It's not too salty and has a cheonggukjang (fermented soybean) base underneath, so if you like cheonggukjang, this one's a must-try!
Final verdict on Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch
If you're looking for a Korean BBQ spot for a date or a team dinner in the Bangi-dong food alley, I fully recommend Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch! With tableside grilling, you can just relax and enjoy the meat. The upscale atmosphere near Seokchon Lake, genuinely delicious meat, and attentive service all come together perfectly.

There's also a review event running, so be sure to leave a review and come back to try the beef tartare or the marbled beef ramyeon too! Totally recommend this place!
