Bangi-dong Korean BBQ with partitioned seats for three: Yukmong Bangi

Lately I've had a handful of wedding-invitation get-togethers popping up, and honestly picking where to meet is kind of a hassle haha.

This time I went to a newly opened BBQ spot in Bangi-dong, Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, for both the gathering and the meat! The staff grilled everything for us and the seating was quite private, so it was great for chatting comfortably — here's my review!!

It's located in the Bangi-dong food alley and occupies a whole building from the basement up to the second floor, so the place turned out to be much bigger than I expected.

Since it just opened, everything felt clean from the outside in. There are tons of BBQ places in Bangi-dong, but since this was a wedding-invite gathering, I wanted to avoid anywhere too noisy — this place had a stylish vibe, so the first impression was already good.

Korean pork sampler set plus beef tartare for three: is it enough food?

The meat lineup ranges from pork to hanwoo (Korean beef), and there are combo sets you can order. The three of us got the sampler set plus added beef tartare, and honestly I figured we'd order more meat if it ran short — but the portion turned out to be surprisingly generous, so in the end we didn't need to order extra haha.

For three people, the Korean pork sampler set alone was more than filling! Adding the beef tartare on top was great too — something to pick at while the meat was grilling.

Best seats for a gathering: first-floor partitions or a basement room

Since it was just the three of us meeting casually, we ate on the ground floor! Even there, the tables weren't crammed together — they were divided into separate sections, so it felt more private than I expected.

What made me think this place is great for gatherings was that the second floor and basement have wider seat spacing and separate private rooms.

If you have a bigger group or want to talk somewhere really quiet, booking a room seems like a solid option. From what I found, the basement floor runs as independent rooms, and some reviews mention an extra fee for room use, so it's worth checking when you reserve.

From the side dishes to the beef tartare

Once you sit down, quite a spread of basic side dishes comes out, and they're surprisingly good at these haha. It's not just a place where the meat is good — the accompanying dishes were tasty too, which I loved.

And the beef tartare we ordered! The seasoning was so good I kept going back for more. Perfect for picking at while the meat grilled.

Beautiful color, great taste — definitely add the beef tartare, seriously...

Staff grill the meat for you at the table

The sampler set finally arrived! One plate came with several cuts, great for the three of us to try a bit of everything. At first I thought we'd order more after finishing this, but it turned out to be way more than I expected...? haha.

And at Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, the staff grill the meat for you, which honestly made things so much easier. Especially at a gathering like this — you're so busy talking that you often miss the right moment to flip the meat haha.

Since they handled the grilling, we could just eat, talk, eat, talk — loved it.

The meat overall was delicious! Grilled well so we didn't have to worry about a thing haha. The pork neck especially was really good.

The doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) was tasty too...~ I liked that not just the main dish but even the sides that came along with it were solid.

And the ssamjang (dipping sauce) here is delicious too haha. Same goes for the cucumber salad — they clearly put thought into the sauces and side dishes, making it easy to mix and match with the meat.

Three of us had the sampler set plus beef tartare, and with the meat, tartare, stew, and side dishes all together, there was so much to eat that the meal felt even more satisfying.

Is Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch a good spot for a Bangi-dong get-together?

I came here for a wedding-invitation gathering this time, and I think I picked the location well haha. Since it just opened, the place is clean, and the seat spacing and layout aren't cramped, so it was comfortable to sit and talk for a long time over the meal.

Having the staff grill the meat for us was especially convenient for a gathering like this, and if you need a quiet spot there are basement rooms too — so if you're looking for a place for a Bangi-dong gathering, it's worth checking out. I ate on the ground floor this time, but next time I come with a bigger group, I'd love to try the room.
