While looking for a good restaurant near Sangam DMC, my friends and I visited Solsot Sangam Branch! We went around 7pm on a weekday, and since the Sangam area tends to get busiest at lunchtime, it was surprisingly quiet, so we could eat at a relaxed pace. The staff were also really friendly, so it felt good from start to finish. The atmosphere was clean and the food was hearty, so I think it'd be a satisfying spot whether you go for lunch or dinner!!

Solsot Sangam Branch is located in the basement level of the Sangam DDMC building! The bright LED lighting on the exterior makes it easy to spot.

What is the interior of Solsot Sangam Branch like?
Matching the clean exterior, the inside had a wood-tone interior with a cozy atmosphere. It was bigger inside than I expected, and

we were seated in the inner area, which felt a bit more private than the regular tables — it looked great for eating with coworkers or having a family gathering! Since we visited on a weekday evening, it wasn't noisy, so it was easy to chat haha.
Solsot Sangam Branch menu: what comes in the 3-person set
The menu had a variety of options that office workers near Sangam DMC would love — draft beer sets, 2-3 person sets, pot rice a la carte, and more — but since there were three of us, we went with the 3-person set.

The 3-person set lets you choose 3 pot rice dishes, 2 drinks, and 1 side dish — here's what we picked:
- ✔️ Steak pot rice
- ✔️ Sea bream and scallop pot rice
- ✔️ Cheese dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) pot rice
- ✔️ Yurinchi (Korean-style fried chicken with tangy sauce)
That's what we chose!

One thing I found unique was that most restaurants make you pick a drink from cola, sprite, or zero cola, but Solsot Sangam had a lot of distinctive zero-sugar drinks, like galman-deun-bae (pear) cider zero! We picked one Sprite Zero and one galbae cider zero, and it was nice to be able to try different drinks haha.
Is the 59,400-won 3-person set enough for three people?

Menu: Pick-your-own 3-person set / Price: ₩59,400. Our chosen dishes filled the whole table!
All three pot rice dishes came with basic side dishes, sauces matching each menu, yogurt, and finally warm water for making nurungji (scorched rice) at the end, so it looked really generous.

And isn't the little phrase written on the lid so heartwarming...?
Fighting hard at work and then coming for lunch to see a sentimental phrase like this really does feel comforting, in a very 'F' kind of way lol.

Sea bream and scallop pot rice
First up, my friend's pick — sea bream and scallop pot rice! Generous scallops and plump sea bream meat, mild and savory, paired perfectly with the hot pot rice.

Steak pot rice
Steak pot rice is one of Solsot's signature menu items! Mixed with egg yolk, the rice got a rich, nutty flavor and was really filling to enjoy.

The meat was especially tender, which made it even more delicious haha. It went perfectly with the kimchi or pickled peppers side dishes!

Cheese dakgalbi pot rice
Lastly, the one I picked — cheese dakgalbi pot rice — is a dish that combines spicy dakgalbi and cheese, so it's a crowd-pleaser with basically no dislikers.

An egg yolk also comes on top, so it's great for getting your protein in too~! I also liked that the portion of dakgalbi meat was generous lol.

Mixing it evenly while it's still hot turns it into a glossy, mouthwatering dakgalbi bibimbap,

and eating it with the perilla leaf topping or seaweed that came with it lets the fragrant perilla flavor and the savory-salty seaweed flavor blend together, giving you a bunch of rich, varied combinations to enjoy.

The side dish: yurinchi (fried chicken with citrus soy sauce)
The yurinchi that came as a side dish had a crispy texture, crunchy lettuce, and a sweet-and-tangy sauce that all went so well together, making it a great match with the pot rice.

Since the meat is chicken thigh, it wasn't dry at all and was perfect as an accent dish!
The small touches that stood out at Solsot Sangam Branch

And while eating, I noticed Solsot Sangam Branch runs as a YES Kids Zone, so they had baby dishware, kids' utensils, bibs, and more ready to go. It felt like a place mostly frequented by office workers on weekdays, but thanks to these thoughtful touches, it also seems like it'd be comfortable for family visits in the evenings or on weekends!
If you want a hearty meal or want to enjoy a variety of dishes with a group, Solsot is a satisfying choice! If you're looking for a good lunch spot in Sangam or a dinner spot near DMC after work, give it a try haha.
