Hanwoo hot pot and yukhoe mulhoe for two in Gasan, Seoul: Yukhwang
In short
Yukhwang Gasan Digital Complex Station branch is a hanwoo (Korean beef) restaurant on the 1st floor of Hallla One&One Tower Building A, about a 5-minute walk from Exit 8 of Gasan Digital Complex Station in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. Two of us ordered the beef hot pot (small), yukhoe mulhoe (chilled raw beef soup) and a bottle of Saero, going back and forth between the steaming hot pot finished with knife-cut noodles and the cold mulhoe finished with somyeon noodles. For an evening where you want one hot dish and one cold dish on the same table, Yukhwang's pairing worked well for two.

Hi, it's Honey!
The Gasan Digital Complex Station area has so many companies around it that there's no shortage of restaurant options — lunch spots, after-work dinners, company dinners, you name it. This time I wanted a proper hanwoo (Korean beef) meal, so I visited the Gasan Digital Complex Station branch of Yukhwang.
Yukhwang is a Korean restaurant that uses carefully selected hanwoo every day, with a menu ranging from fresh beef dishes like yukhoe bibimbap and yukhoe to warm dishes like gomtang (beef bone soup) and beef hot pot. Visit reviews mention that they use 1++ grade hanwoo, and it's a place where you can enjoy both raw beef and soup dishes together — let me introduce it now~~
Where is Yukhwang in Gasan, and is there parking?

Once you arrive at Hallla One&One Tower, you can find Yukhwang on the 1st floor. Walking into the building, the store sign is quite visible so it wasn't hard to find even on a first visit. In front of the restaurant, there were menu photos and a menu board set up, so you could take a quick look at what was on offer before going in.
With floor-to-ceiling windows, the overall first impression was clean and tidy. It seemed like a good spot for office workers around Gasan Digital Complex Station to visit for lunch, and equally fitting for a drink with beef hot pot or yukhoe in the evening.

Inside Yukhwang: atmosphere and seating
Walking into Yukhwang Gasan Digital Complex Station branch, the overall vibe was clean and calm. There was ample seating centered around wood-tone tables, and it looked like tables could easily be pushed together for larger groups. So it seemed like a solid choice for office worker lunches near Gasan Digital Complex Station, as well as dinners or company gatherings.
We took a table by the window, where the full-length windows made the space feel open rather than closed-in, and the table was spacious enough to hold both the beef hot pot and yukhoe mulhoe together. Once seated, the menu, basic tableware, and side dishes were all neatly set up, so we went ahead and picked our menu.

Yukhwang's menu and what two of us ordered
Yukhwang's signature dishes
Yukhwang is a Korean restaurant centered around hanwoo with a variety of dishes. Highlights include the beef hot pot, which combines warm broth and meat, along with beef-based dishes like yukhoe, yukhoe mulhoe, and yukhoe bibimbap.
At lunch, there are dishes good for a single meal, while dinner offers options like beef hot pot or yukhoe that pair well with drinks — so it seemed like a good fit for lunch near Gasan Digital Complex Station as well as company dinners or evening meals.
Our order: beef hot pot and yukhoe mulhoe
We also couldn't skip ordering a bottle of Saero to properly kick off dinner. What we ordered that day was:
- ✔️ Beef hot pot (small)
- ✔️ Yukhoe mulhoe
- ✔️ Saero
Those three! We decided to order both the warm beef hot pot and the cold yukhoe mulhoe to enjoy their different charms side by side. The combination of hot pot with beef paired with warm broth, and the tangy, cold yukhoe mulhoe, worked really well together as menu choices.

After ordering, the basic side dishes were neatly set up first. Crunchy kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) and salad came out along with a seasoned sauce that goes well with the meat. The kkakdugi in particular was cut into bite-sized pieces, so it was easy to enjoy alongside the meal.
Overall, the side dish spread wasn't excessive — it was kept simple with dishes that complemented the main beef hot pot well.

Is the small beef hot pot enough for two?
The small size of Yukhwang's beef hot pot was enough for two people to eat alongside other dishes. When the main dish, the small beef hot pot, finally arrived, the large hot pot was packed with beef, and on one side was a generous pile of napa cabbage, green onion, mushrooms, and minari (water dropwort), which looked hearty just from the visual. Even though it was the small size, the amount of beef was more generous than expected, so it seemed plenty for two people eating alongside other dishes.

As the broth started boiling and the beef and vegetables mingled together, the broth flavor deepened. It's a dish where you enjoy tender beef with warm broth, making it a perfect match for a drink of Saero!

The beef is good on its own, but dipping it lightly in the seasoned sauce that came with it added extra savoriness that kept me reaching for more.

Finishing the hot pot with knife-cut noodles
After eating most of the beef and vegetables, we finished with knife-cut noodles (kalguksu) added to the pot. Along with the noodles, a generous amount of fragrant vegetables also came out — you just add them straight to the remaining broth and let it simmer.
Since the broth had already developed deep flavor from simmering with beef and vegetables, the noodles soaked it up beautifully. It gave a different kind of satisfaction than the hot pot alone — you really haven't finished the meal properly until you eat the noodles at the end! Especially with warm broth and chewy noodles together, it was great for handling both drinking food and a proper meal at once.

Tangy, ice-cold yukhoe mulhoe with somyeon
The other dish we ordered alongside the beef hot pot was Yukhwang's yukhoe mulhoe (raw beef cold soup). In the center of a large bowl sat a generous pile of yukhoe, surrounded by crunchy vegetables like perilla leaves, cucumber, and red cabbage — it looked fresh just by looking at it.
Mixing the yukhoe and vegetables into the cold broth gave a tangy-sweet, clean flavor that paired perfectly with alternating bites of the warm beef hot pot. The tender texture of the yukhoe combined with the crunchy vegetables really woke up the appetite.
Adding the somyeon (thin wheat noodles) that came with it made it even more filling — slurping up the noodles in the remaining mulhoe broth was a refreshing way to finish. The warm beef hot pot and the cold yukhoe mulhoe had completely different charms, and I was glad we ordered both together!
