We were debating whether to eat at Jeju Airport or just pack pizza for dinner, when our pizza-loving kids shouted "It has to be pizza!" haha. While searching, I found Happiness Pizza — here's how our visit went.

The menu: no half-and-half, but cheap extra toppings

Happiness Pizza didn't have a half-and-half menu, but topping additions were affordably priced, so I felt it was a big plus that we could pile on whatever toppings the kids wanted.

We went with what the kids wanted: one large bacon potato pizza, one fries, and a cola. The owner was incredibly kind — when I mentioned our expected arrival time, they said they'd have it ready right then, which I really appreciated since we were in a bit of a rush to get to Jeju Airport.

Whoa — places that use trustworthy ingredients really are different, right down to displaying a certificate from the slaughterhouse. If the kids had liked pork, we could have tried a pizza with it, but sadly they don't.

How was the bacon potato pizza on black rice dough?

My pizza order finally arrived, ta-da! A delicious smell hit me right away — since this place had endless praise for its dough, I opened the box with high expectations.

The savory dough, kneaded 660 times — basically nearly 700 — was the charm of Happiness Pizza. And it's not just plain flour either; being a Sinjeju pizza spot with a black rice dough base made it feel like a restaurant that looks after your health too.

Above all, I felt like this would be the place I'd think of whenever packing pizza for the kids' meals or snacks. Their signature bacon potato pizza had the basic ingredients piled on generously.

My heart was racing just opening the pizza box, haha. It tasted even better than expected. Plenty of places give you potato pieces the size of beans when you order pizza, but here the potato chunks were big and filling enough to feel substantial.

Since cheese and dough are the lifeblood of pizza, the dough was savory and chewy, and the natural cheese stretched beautifully — a real charm point. It also had that distinct milky richness, which I liked even more.

Mild seasoning that kids can eat

The biggest strength of Happiness Pizza is that it's not overwhelming for little ones to eat — the seasoning isn't as strong as typical pizza, which suited my husband and me since we prefer milder flavors, and the kids kept shouting for one more slice as they had a hearty dinner. You could really taste the philosophy behind Happiness — the owner's mindset of cooking as if their own kids were eating it.

A takeout-friendly neighborhood near Tamna Library

Oh right! This place is very close to Tamna Library, so I noticed families and library members frequently stopping by for takeout. Having ample parking space to use was another plus.
