Went for brunch at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch after a morning run along Gwangalli Beach! It's a famous brunch spot in Changwon that's now opened a branch in Gwangalli too, haha. It's a place where you can enjoy Australian-style brunch, so let me introduce it in detail!

Stepped inside and the simple interior with fresh flower decorations was so pretty! Even the first floor had such a nice vibe — a perfect space to come for brunch in Gwangalli, haha.

There's a second floor too, so the space felt spacious! The second floor has plenty of seats and outlets scattered around, so it looked like a good spot for laptop work too, haha.

Besides coffee, there were also ades, smoothies, teas, and fresh fruit juices, so there were quite a few drink options. I ordered the avocado toast for ₩16,000, pumpkin soup for ₩9,000, and iced Americano for ₩5,500!

Avocado toast, 16,000 won: how much avocado do you get?

First off, the avocado toast was so pretty visually! The plating was so nice it felt almost a shame to eat, T_T

But seriously, the amount of avocado here is insane! I've had a lot of avocado toast, but this is the first place I've seen pile on this much avocado, haha. It felt like there were three whole avocados on there — just look at the height...! It was well ripened, so it was soft, and eating it together with the toppings on top made for such a great combo, T_T. Honestly, at this point I don't want to call anything avocado toast unless it comes with this much avocado, T_T♥

🎃 Pumpkin soup and sourdough, 9,000 won: what they taste like

And the pumpkin soup was so good too, haha. The creamy pumpkin soup came topped with plenty of pumpkin seeds, and eating them together made it so nutty and delicious! The soup came with sourdough on the side too, and since the bread itself was tasty, this was also great.

And the sourdough here is seriously delicious! I'm a self-proclaimed sourdough nerd, and this bread was chewy with just the right amount of tang I like — totally my type, T_T. It was so good that on my way out I even asked where they source the bread from, haha.

They said the coffee uses beans from the Australian specialty coffee brand Dukes Coffee, and since it's a place that uses Dukes beans, the coffee needs no further explanation, haha. From brunch to coffee, everything was really delicious!

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch — a place I want to go back to for brunch again!! Since it opens at 8am, it's also great when you're looking for a breakfast or brunch spot in Gwangalli, and since the sourdough is so much my type, I'm planning to try other toast menu items next time, haha.
