Knowing this was a verified brunch spot that opens super early, my expectations were already high before I even walked in.

Step inside and you're greeted by warm wood-tone interiors. The tidy counter has a stylish vase of fresh flowers and neatly arranged coffee bean pouches.

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is open daily from 08:00 to 17:00. Opening as early as 8am makes it ideal for stopping by after a morning run or for a leisurely weekend brunch.

The menu shows a real focus on coffee — drip coffee, espresso, flat white — alongside a wide selection of matcha lattes, ades, gelato, and smoothies. They even had a bean card from the famous Australian roaster Dukes Coffee on display, a clear sign this Gwangalli café takes its coffee seriously.

Dip the bread deep into the warm soup and the pumpkin's natural sweetness and nuttiness meld with the bread's crunch — hearty and comforting enough to count as a full meal.

🍳 Garlic butter egg, Turkish-egg style

A Turkish-egg style brunch dish with irresistible exotic flavors. Creamy yogurt and a poached egg sit on a spicy, savory chili butter oil base, plated beautifully with crunchy nuts, pickled red onion, and purple edible flowers.

Piling the yogurt sauce, poached egg, and chili oil onto the crisp sourdough that comes alongside gives you a mouthful of soft, spicy umami. If you're tired of the usual brunch menus, I strongly recommend trying this Minnak-dong specialty!

The signature brunch dish: thick, golden-toasted French toast topped generously with yellow edible flowers, bacon, tangy-sweet berry compote, nuts, and crumble.

Drizzle on the maple syrup that comes with it and take a bite — the crisp exterior and moist interior of the toast, the saltiness of the bacon, and the sweetness of the maple syrup combine into a perfect sweet-and-salty balance. The berries' tartness keeps it from getting too rich, so you can enjoy it to the last bite without getting tired of it.
