Jamsil burger restaurant with loaded bacon cheese fries: Daily Fix

This time I went to Daily Fix in Jangmi Sangga, Jamsil! I'm actually into the real American-style burger thing — thick patty, thick gooey cheese, you know the vibe? But the photos of this place already looked like they were doing it properly... so I just went for it haha. Bottom line up front: if you're into double patty + cheese + bacon, this is your place, no question.

Given the nature of Jangmi Sangga and the area, they're closed every Saturday and Sunday, and open Monday to Friday from 11am to 10pm.

It's located in Building B, basement level, Unit 13 — but it can be tricky to find inside Jangmi Sangga. It's closest to Building B entrances 6–8, and you can find it between a jjukkumi (spicy octopus) restaurant and a tofu restaurant. It sits along the outer edge, so keep that in mind before you visit.

What the storefront and interior look like

The first time you walk into Jangmi Sangga, you might genuinely think, where am I? I got a little turned around too since there are so many shops inside. Go into Building B, head down to the basement, then walk along the outer edge rather than the center — that makes Daily Fix much easier to find. (They say using basement entrance 6 makes it easiest.)

Once you're inside, it's like — wait, there's a place like this inside Jangmi Sangga? haha. The space itself isn't huge, it's small and cozy with an American diner feel, but I actually liked this kind of compact, no-frills space even more.

It's a nice spot for two people to sit and eat a burger, but also totally fine to come alone without feeling awkward.

There are separate seats for solo diners, plus 2–4 person tables, and it looked like it could handle even bigger groups.

The interior isn't spacious but it's very efficiently used. And there were quite a few people picking up takeout orders too.

What I ordered was Kang Min-kyung's pick, the bacon cheese burger, plus the double cheese burger that's obviously going to be delicious, a Coke Zero, and the bacon cheese fries. It's a burger place, so of course the burgers are a must, but a lot of people seemed to order them as a set with the bacon cheese fries too. Those seemed more popular than plain fries — everyone around me was eating them, haha.

The Coke Zero came out first, which was nice for sipping lightly in between bites of the burger, which helped the burger go down even more smoothly.

There was a drawer next to the table with a knife and fork, and disposable vinyl gloves next to them too.

Bacon Cheese Fries: how big is the portion?

Can you see the bacon cheese fries here? There's a ton of finely chopped bacon piled on top, with thick, gooey cheese loaded in between. The portion looked like about 5 times a regular order of fries, and it looked and smelled amazing too, ugh.

The meat had kind of a braised-beef vibe to it — genuinely tender and clearly good quality. I never imagined fries and meat could work together this well.

If you think of this as just a simple side to pick at, you'll be shocked by the portion. And honestly — it's genuinely delicious too.

Bacon Cheese Burger with house-smoked bacon

This is the bacon cheese burger Kang Min-kyung recommended! Not a modest-looking burger from the visuals alone, haha. There's a thick hanwoo (Korean beef) patty, cheese, and a proper amount of bacon packed in.

What's special here is the bacon isn't just a few thin slices thrown on — apparently it's house-smoked, hand-made bacon.

So when you eat it, the bacon flavor comes through pretty distinctly alongside the rich, heavy meat flavor of the patty. Add the cheese on top and it's the peak of gooey richness.

Double Cheese Burger: double patty, double cheese

You can tell at a glance there are two patties, right? This is the double cheese burger. The name might make you think only the cheese is doubled, but the meat patty is doubled too!

It comes with two kinds of cheese — American cheese plus Swiss cheese.

Looking at the side view — meat, cheese, meat, cheese — the visual is just insane. I always have this need to strip away anything unnecessary when I eat a burger, and I think this burger nails exactly that.

First I took a few simple shots of the first two that arrived.

Once everything was out, I got a proper full shot — here's the complete spread.

There's a small vinyl pack of disposable gloves — tear it open and you get a pair for both hands. Once you've got those on, you can just dig in with both hands, no worries.

You can see the two types of cheese at a glance, right? Really rich, and with double the amount it's genuinely double the deliciousness!!!!

Looking at the bacon cheese cross-section — unlike the double cheese burger, it had a more colorful, varied look.

And bits of bacon were peeking out here and there.

This is the big highlight — you really have to see the double cheese burger's cross-section to get it. The meat is packed in two dense layers, so even at a glance the sheer volume is huge, and with cheese layered throughout too, it has serious presence.

The color on this is genuinely insane!!!!

Is Daily Fix Jangmi Sangga worth it?

Daily Fix's burgers themselves have a proper American-style feel, and the patty and cheese are genuinely rich and heavy — totally my type haha. The bacon cheese fries in particular had an insane portion and great flavor, so if you're a burger lover, definitely order them together 🍔🍟
