The brand has built its reputation through word of mouth for more than 15 years near Pusan National University, and this Gwangbok branch has also been directly operated for more than seven years, so it is a place you can visit with confidence without worrying about variations in quality. A neat interior.

The atmosphere is clean, modern Japanese dining. The seating is mainly four-person tables with plenty of space between them, making it nice for chatting over a meal. There are high chairs too, so it is also a perfectly good choice for a family meal with little ones.

A full spread of Set 2 and beef nigiri

Set 2 [for two, 16 pieces of sushi + chashu + choice of 1 noodle dish (ramen)] + beef nigiri.

Set 2 and beef nigiri order

Along with rakkyo (pickled scallion bulbs) and pickled ginger, there is a carefully prepared tofu salad and cabbage salad. The side dishes are not overly sweet or salty, so they are nice to eat along with the meal.

The table was completely full.

Tonkotsu ramen and tender chashu

The ramen I chose as the set's noodle dish! The broth has a rich tonkotsu (pork-bone) base. It has the deep, hearty flavor distinctive to long-simmered beef-bone broth, and it is delicious. The noodles are cooked to a pleasantly springy texture and go well with the bean sprouts.

The chashu is tender too!

The chashu included in the set is pork braised for a long time in a special soy sauce seasoning, so it is wonderfully tender when you pick it up with chopsticks.

Chashu with shredded onion

The outside has a light smoky char, while the inside is moist with juices, bringing out a rich savory flavor the more you chew. Paired with crisp shredded onion, it perfectly balances the richness, so it never becomes too much.

Sixteen pieces of sushi including flounder and salmon

16 pieces of sushi and smoky beef nigiri

Sixteen pieces of sushi! There are two pieces each of approachable, popular varieties such as flounder, salmon, tuna, cooked shrimp, soy-marinated shrimp, and squid. The thickly sliced white fish has a lovely chewy texture, while the salmon's naturally nutty richness spreads softly and melts in your mouth.

The ingredients taste clean and mild, without any fishiness.

Smoky beef nigiri

The beef nigiri is smoky and juicy too, and it pairs beautifully with the sauce.
