Let me introduce Budan, a bar so famous that practically every MZ person living in Busan knows it. I sang the “let’s go to Budan” song to my boyfriend until I brought him here, haha.

Budan Nampo Branch near Bupyeong Jokbal Alley
It’s near Bupyeong Jokbal Alley, on the second floor of the Miryang Dwaeji Gukbap building!

Visit before 7 p.m. and soju is 1+1. You absolutely cannot resist soju 1+1 😋

There are a whopping 110 seats!! The place is spacious to match. It’s perfect for groups too 👍 We visited before 7 p.m. on a weekday! As the sun started setting, customers gradually began to come in.

We sat by the window overlooking Nampo’s bar street. I have this condition where I absolutely have to sit by the window wherever I go.. 😅

There’s a smoking room too. Since the bar is on the second floor, whether there’s a smoking room is super important for smokers, right? With one here, there’s no hassle of going back and forth, haha.

Menu and wide range of drinks
Main menu

I’ve visited Budan four times. I’ve tried cheese jjusaewoo and maedalguh. When I want something special but not too unfamiliar, I head to Budan. Every dish is bound to be a hit with everyone, regardless of age or gender!!
Side dishes

Wow, are these really side dishes? They look so good that I’m confused whether they’re mains! I want to try every single one 😋 How could you resist Jjapagetti and green-onion kimchi? 🤤 They even have bingsu (shaved ice dessert), which is perfect for a light palate cleanser 🍧
Drinks

There’s such a huge variety of drinks too: soju, fruit soju, beer, spirits, makgeolli (rice wine), highballs, and more! I’m so curious about the Oreo makgeolli and mango makgeolli. I’m definitely trying them next time!!

Cheese jjusaewoo and complimentary snacks
We ordered cheese jjusaewoo (shrimp and webfoot octopus), soju, and review ice cream = ₩38,500. I never get tired of it, no matter how much I eat.. It’s incredibly addictive 👍

The complimentary snack was toast with whipped cream. Maybe it had just been toasted—it was so crispy and delicious. And the review-service ice cream was such a generous bonus 🩵

Plump shrimp are wrapped in meat. There’s also plump webfoot octopus in a deeply savory sauce, plus rice cakes. Looking at it again makes my mouth water. There was lots of cheese too, which was the best.

Look closer!!!! Can you see how plump the shrimp meat is? That bouncy bite of shrimp is a work of art.
Roll it up in the cheese fondue ✨ There’s no skimpy amount of cheese here, and it’s soft mozzarella that melts in your mouth rather than cheese that lingers heavily on your palate 🧀

I also tucked the spicy-sweet webfoot octopus under a cheese blanket, haha. It wasn’t tough at all. Even once it cooled down, the webfoot octopus stayed tender and chewy 🐙 I never get tired of it, no matter how much I eat.. It’s incredibly addictive 👍
Recommended for Nampo-dong gatherings
The clean atmosphere and soft lighting made it just right for a date with your partner or a get-together with friends. It’s in the heart of Nampo-dong, so it’s easy to get to as well. Generous portions and great flavor—there’s no reason not to go, haha.
