You can refill the soup as many times as you want, and every donkatsu (pork cutlet) comes in a generous portion — this is Jinsim King Donkatsu Pyeongdong Branch, a Pyeongdong pork cutlet favorite.

Is parking easy?

In the cluster of restaurants in Pyeongdong, you'll find Jinsim King Donkatsu, a Pyeongdong pork cutlet specialist. The sign is easy to spot, so it's simple to find, and the parking lot is so spacious — no parking worries at this Pyeongdong donkatsu spot~~

The area in front of the restaurant has mats instead of gravel, so there's a car-friendly parking section. The store is huge and the parking area is massive too.
Open from 10am, so you can dig into donkatsu right away! There's even a summer menu item — jinsim cold jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles) just launched!! A Pyeongdong donkatsu spot with more than just donkatsu on the menu.
Inside the restaurant and the self-serve bar
It's a large restaurant that can handle families and big groups, so they even thought of kids' chairs. The chairs looked spotless, so clearly well maintained.
How to use the self-serve bar
- ✔️Get your own water, side dishes, and apron
- ✔️Take small amounts, go back often
- ✔️Soup and broth are also free to help yourself to
- ✔️Self-pack leftovers!! Portions are big, so lots of people take food to go~~
Review event
There's a receipt review event. You can scan the QR code or post on Naver Place. Write a review and get a free drink 🍹🍹🍹

They've got rows of vegetables 🥬 here for wrapping your donkatsu. There's also pickled radish and kimchi, so you can grab as much as you want. And the soup is unlimited refill too~~ I'm personally a soup enthusiast at donkatsu places, and this was good good. I added plenty of pepper too.

You can also get extra donkatsu sauce~ If you're a dipping-sauce person, mention it beforehand and have the sauce served separately — that'd work well~~ I think this is why so many people come to Pyeongdong for donkatsu — the food's great and there's so much extra service.

Since it opened not that long ago, the place is clean and tidy. To be a Pyeongdong favorite, the taste matters, but so does being clean and hygienic.

Tastes kind of like Ottogi soup mix. A slight mushroom flavor too, and I enjoyed it with lots of pepper sprinkled on top 👍👍
Menu and prices

We're cheese lovers, so we ordered the cheese waterfall donkatsu for ₩15,900 and the Jinsim fish cutlet for ₩11,900.
Besides donkatsu, they also have jinsim king jjolmyeon, anchovy kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), and naengmyeon (cold noodles), so it's nice to share those too. Since the donkatsu portions are so big at this Pyeongdong favorite, we shared and enjoyed everything together.

When you order donkatsu, it comes with rice and a cabbage 🥬 salad. The salad portion is huge, so you'll be full. Corn 🌽 and peppers 🌶 come along too.
🧀Cheese waterfall donkatsu ₩15,900

The breading was so crispy, wow. That Pyeongdong-favorite class. Came out with the plate completely full.

Bigger than an adult man's palm. There's button mushroom 🍄 in the donkatsu sauce~ The sauce isn't too sweet, which I liked. Since the sauce isn't overpowering, you can really taste the meat itself.

🧀The cheese stretches out so long. Might be mozzarella. Looking at it like this, it doesn't feel overpriced at all. Even without the 🧀cheese, the meat is thick, so the texture is great. 🥩The meat isn't processed — it's thick with a satisfying bite.
🐟Jinsim fish cutlet ₩11,900
It spans from one end of my palm to the other. It's quite thick too, so it was savory and delicious. It's whole fish fillet, not processed fish paste, so you could visually see each piece of fish flesh. Yep, this is a real Pyeongdong donkatsu favorite!! If you've had plenty of donkatsu already, trying the fish cutlet once is also a good call.
The tartar sauce was creamy too, not too sweet, and paired well with the fish.

The signature strength of Jinsim King Donkatsu is wrapping it up with the wrap vegetables. There's rice, there's peppers too, so wrapping everything together — I loved it. Ate really well. Burp~
To sum up
- ✔️Spacious restaurant, spacious parking lot
- ✔️Unlimited refills of soup and wrap vegetables
- ✔️Self-packing available
- ✔️Huge portions and great taste
- ✔️Plenty of menu options beyond donkatsu
