Draft beer on a Friday night.. 🍺 I had bone-fire grilled ribs in Seolleung and came here for a second round of draft beer.
Where 88 Nogari Seolleung is and when it opens
88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch is on the 2nd floor at 40 Seolleung-ro 86-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Hours are Mon–Thu and Sun 17:00–02:00 (last order 01:00), and Fri–Sat 17:00–03:00 (last order 02:00).

It's right across from Sindonggung Gamjatang, so it was easy to find! You go up to the 2nd floor by stairs, but there's also an elevator, so it's easy for anyone who has trouble with stairs.
How long is the wait on a Friday night?
Since they had a waitlist sign-up, it seems like the wait can get really long when it's busy. When I went there was no wait, but the person right after me had to put their name down haha. If I'd come a little later I might have had to wait too — phew.
The inside was so packed that I'd have to blur out basically every face in a photo… it was completely full!
The in-house shop selling chips, cup noodles and ice cream
88 Nogari Seolleung has a separate snack shop on top of the regular menu, stocked with all kinds of chips, cup noodles, ice cream, and other snacks.
A bar that sells ice cream? Then you have to come right away. Why? Because eating ice cream after drinking is basically a national rule~ Someone smartly stuck a Homerun Ball snack in the ice cream freezer to freeze it lol. They know their stuff ⭐️

Since there are snacks and ramyeon in the shop, some people might try to just order those and drink, so I guess that's why a main dish order is required. It's only fair, so please order in good conscience 😊
The default side dish was chicken drumstick-shaped chips~ My boyfriend loves this snack so he was really happy to see it. They sell it in the shop too, but you also get it as a free side dish — quite generous 👍
Moist squid, 15,000 won, ordered with draft beer
88 Nogari has a huge menu, but since I came for draft beer I mainly looked at beer-pairing dishes, and there were a lot of dry snack options. I agonized over it a lot…//
After all that deliberating, I ordered the moist squid! Moist squid, ₩15,000. Just looking at it, it looked plump and clearly made with good squid 🦑 It cut easily with scissors and was easy to bite through too! I have braces so my teeth and gums are a bit weak, but it was moist enough to eat comfortably.
We each got a glass of draft beer too~ Salty snacks really are the best match for draft beer. Squid is the best.
Second-floor window seats with folding doors
I sat by the window on the 2nd floor, and since the weather was nice they had the folding doors open. The breeze coming in wasn't too hot or too cold, and it made the beer taste even better and the atmosphere really pleasant! Window seats will probably be popular, so keep an eye out haha!
How the snack shop works: pick it up and order it yourself
Dry snacks alone felt a bit boring, so I went shopping at the snack shop haha. To use it, you order from the 'Snacks self' menu at the bottom left of the tablet and then grab it yourself — that's it @
Out of all the cup noodles, after much deliberation I picked Dosirak (lunchbox-style cup noodles) for old times' sake haha. I used to eat a lot of that at the convenience store back in college,, memories 🥹
Like I always say, I'm a noodle lover, so even though I'd just had dinner not long before, I slurped it down happily haha.

Also, at 88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch, if you write down a song request and give it to the owner, they'll play it in order. I've been really into Lisenne lately, so I only requested Lisenne songs haha. Love Attack,, ❤️ Pinball,,💗 Deja Vu,,💖
Worth it for a group dinner or a casual beer near Seolleung Station?
88 Nogari near Seolleung Station has a wide variety of dishes plus snacks and cup noodles in the shop, so it seems perfect for a group work dinner. Especially the ice cream..! 🍦 Having a good time drinking together and then all grabbing an ice cream feels like a great way to sober up a bit haha.
If you work near Seolleung, it's a great atmosphere for a casual beer, so I really recommend giving it a try ✨
