Uiwang outlet café power-outlet seats, peanut sandwich: Jeong Jiyoung

In short

Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang Branch is a two-floor café in Uiwang, Gyeonggi, set in a glass-walled building at the end of the outlet's Glass Ville beside a lawn. Visiting alone at 11am on a weekday, the writer took a second-floor seat with a power outlet and worked on blog posts over a decaf flat white (6,500 won) and a peanut sandwich, until food court customers came up and filled the café from 12:30. For quiet laptop work, weekday mornings are the right time at Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters Uiwang.

On a weekday morning, wanting to sip coffee and catch up on overdue blog posts, I stopped by Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang Branch.

I'd known this coffee brand for a while, and when I heard they'd opened a branch in Uiwang, I got curious and came to check it out. I visited around 11am, and the seats were nice and open with a great view through the floor-to-ceiling windows — perfect for spending some solo time over coffee :) I sat at a second-floor outlet seat and enjoyed blogging at leisure.

How to find the café inside Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang

Since it's located inside the outlet, the way there can be a bit confusing the first time. Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters is at the far end of Lotte Outlet Uiwang's Glass Ville. Go up behind the Detrone store and you'll immediately see the glass-walled building haha. You can also get there via the stairs inside the food court.

On a nice day like this, I'd recommend walking there via the outdoor path.

I walked outside, and the glass exterior connecting to the big lawn was so pretty. Even inside the café, the outside scenery stays fully in view, so sitting there felt wide open and refreshing. Right as you enter, there are a few tables and the order counter, and going up the stairs one more floor gives you more seating.

Best time for laptop work: weekday mornings at the Uiwang outlet café

I visited around 11am on a weekday, and seating was pretty relaxed, so I just picked whichever seat I wanted haha. I settled into an outlet seat on the second floor. Since the whole café is floor-to-ceiling glass, no seat feels cramped, and it was really great for spending time alone with a laptop and a coffee!

But by around 12:30, the mood changed completely. A lot of people who'd finished eating at the food court right below came upstairs for coffee. If you're planning to sit quietly or work on a laptop like me, weekday mornings before lunchtime seem best. As for weekends... considering how busy Lotte Outlet gets on weekends, I don't think this kind of peace is realistic haha.

What I ordered at Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters, and what it cost

There were cakes and other desserts besides coffee, so I hesitated a bit before ordering. Since I hadn't eaten breakfast that day, I picked the peanut butter sandwich to fill me up a little more. For my drink, I went with my usual favorite, the flat white! Flat white ₩6,000 plus ₩500 for the decaf change came to ₩6,500 total. I went back and forth with the signature coconut coffee until the end, but since I'm not a big fan of coconut, I ended up choosing my usual flat white haha.

The decaf flat white: strong but clean

The decaf beans I chose are apparently Colombia Supremo, and taking a sip, the coffee was quite bold. I could clearly taste a nutty, dark-chocolate-like flavor, and drinking it myself, I understood why this place could be recommended as a top coffee spot in Uiwang. Even though the coffee was strong, the aftertaste wasn't heavy or lingering — it finished clean, which I personally liked.

Peanut sandwich instead of breakfast

Too much peanut butter can easily get greasy, but the ratio here was just right, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. The bread itself wasn't overly buttery and had a plain, savory quality, and it wasn't too sweet, so it paired well with the strong flat white. On a day when I wanted something a bit more filling than cake, this was the perfect choice haha.

Coconut coffee, the signature saved for next time

I debated over the signature coconut coffee until the very end, but since I'm not a huge coconut fan, I skipped it this time. A bit of a shame, but next time I come with my husband, I plan to recommend it to him and steal a sip haha.

The bean-sniffing corner and coffee goods on sale

On one side of the store, you can also find beans and drip bags! What I found refreshing was that the beans weren't just displayed — they were set up so you could actually smell each variety. It was fun comparing the scent of each bean one by one.

There were also goods displayed alongside, and overall the design was clean and simple, so they looked comfortable to wear or use.

Is Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters Uiwang worth a visit?

Coming on a weekday morning, the seats were relaxed and there were outlet seats too, so it was great for writing blog posts over coffee. Sipping a strong flat white while looking out at the lawn through the floor-to-ceiling windows was exactly the kind of café time I wanted haha. If you're looking for a good coffee spot in Uiwang and care not just about the coffee but also about having a comfortable space to linger, this place is worth considering. I'm planning to come back and try other menu items next time.
