It was such a nice day and staying home on the weekend felt like a waste, so I went to check out the Uiwang outlet mall and grabbed a meal nearby! There aren't many dog-friendly restaurants around, so it was great to find one where we could eat comfortably outdoors~ Let me start the story of Sanaendeul, a Korean BBQ restaurant in Uiwang that's also great for family gatherings.

Where is Sanaendeul in Uiwang, and what about parking and hours?

Outdoor seats at Sanaendeul with a separate dog-friendly zone

Sanaendeul is a Korean BBQ restaurant with outdoor seating that has a specifically designated dog-friendly zone. Even at restaurants that allow dogs, if you're seated close to tables without dogs, it can feel a bit stressful during the meal — but since the zones are separated here, we could eat comfortably~

Eating outdoors made it feel a bit like camping haha

The lights come on as the sun sets, so I imagine the atmosphere gets even prettier once it's dark~

Besides the outdoor space, there's also indoor seating, so a separate space is available if you're coming as a group.

How to order at Sanaendeul: fill a basket, then go to the counter

Sanaendeul is a self-serve pork BBQ restaurant that sells meat at prices similar to a supermarket or butcher shop, so it felt very reasonable! The meat is also well organized by cut~

Grab a basket from the front, fill it with the food and drinks you want, then go to the counter, tell them your table number and party size, and that's it!

Fridge with drinks and ice cream to add to the basket

There's ice cream too, which would be perfect for dessert haha

The fridge has alcohol, sausages, mushrooms, and shrimp. There were kids' drinks too~ I'd been craving shrimp for a while, so I went with that.

Post a photo review on social media for a free drink, show a blog review on your next visit for free mushrooms or doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and write a Naver receipt review for free cup noodles — don't miss these events!

Lettuce, perilla leaves, and shredded scallion at the outdoor self bar

There's a self bar set up in the outdoor zone.

They had lettuce, perilla leaves, and shredded scallion, all fresh! It's unlimited, but always good to only take what you'll actually eat~

Jeju pork hanmari and 8 shrimp grilled over charcoal

All of Sanaendeul's meat, whether Korean beef or Jeju pork, is domestic. The meat prices offer great value. Along with the meat, ordering stew, noodles, or cup noodles would make the meal even more filling~

After ordering, they give you a spatula with your table number written on it~ Keep this safe, because you need to bring it with you when you pay!

They set up the basic side dishes for us at the start like this~

They put well-lit charcoal in, and once the grill plate had heated up nicely, they placed the meat and shrimp on it. The Jeju pork hanmari comes with samgyeopsal (pork belly), mokssal (pork neck), hangjeongsal (pork jowl), and gabrisal (pork shoulder blade meat), so we got to taste a variety of Jeju pork cuts all at once! Each cut had a slightly different texture and flavor, so it was fun picking through them. Rather than eating just one cut, having several together like this meant we could pick and choose according to our taste haha

We also got to try the nicely grilled shrimp. As the shrimp cooked, the shell turned red and a savory aroma rose up — it had a different charm from the meat, so I was glad we ordered it too!?

Cut by cut: hangjeongsal, gabrisal, mokssal and the shrimp

The hangjeongsal (pork jowl) had an appealing chewy, savory texture, while the gabrisal (pork shoulder blade) was soft and light.

Peeled, plump shrimp meat

Peeling and eating the plump, springy shrimp meat gave a light flavor with a subtle sweetness~

Grilled Jeju pork mokssal

The mokssal (pork neck) had little fat and kept its juiciness, making it clean and easy to eat.

Eating it with kimchi or scallion salad combo helps cut through the richness too. Sanaendeul in Uiwang, where you can enjoy both meat and shrimp together, offered a great range of menu choices!! If you're looking for a dog-friendly Korean BBQ restaurant in Uiwang where you can dine with your pup, I recommend Sanaendeul!
