I mostly order pizza for delivery, but nothing beats fresh warm pizza straight out of the oven with a cold beer at the restaurant itself. Wanting both pizza and a drink, I finally stopped by Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch, a place I'd passed countless times on my way to Traders. The restaurant turned out to be bigger than I expected, with a solid range of drinks — great for a proper pizza-and-beer session. What really impressed me was how generously the pizza was loaded with cheese and toppings. 🍕🙂

Walking in, the space was bigger than I'd imagined. Clean and tidy, giving off a comfortable vibe.

The tables were also spaced generously, making it good for two people or for family meals and bigger group gatherings alike.

One thing that caught my eye inside was a large screen. On days with a baseball or soccer game, this seems like a great spot to order pizza and beer and settle in to watch.

Stacks of pizza boxes! I honestly can't even guess how many orders they get through haha. The staff were also friendly and warm, which kept the whole meal feeling relaxed.

The drinks menu was surprisingly varied too, with beer, highballs, and sake among the options. Large half-and-half pizza: combination and bassak bulgogi with cheese crust

✔️ Combination + Bassak Bulgogi half-and-half pizza. I went with the large size, choosing combination and bassak bulgogi. I also added cheese crust so I could enjoy cheese all the way to the edge.

It came with crackers, pickles, sauce, hot sauce, and parmesan cheese as standard sides.

The moment the pizza arrived, what caught my eye first was the generous pile of toppings and cheese. Seriously loaded with cheese! Every ingredient was piled on without holding back.

Tasting it confirmed just how much cheese was packed in — lift a slice and it stretches into long strings, and the toppings are so generous that one slice is quite filling.

The combination side had that familiar, comforting mix of ingredients, and I especially loved how much olive was on it. The flavors you already know are the scariest — in a good way! Delicious as always. 😋

The bassak bulgogi side had a sweetness and rich meaty flavor from the bulgogi topping. Ordering the two flavors half-and-half made for a fun back-and-forth, and it kept things from getting monotonous the way one single flavor sometimes does.

What is the house-made dough like?

Personally, what I liked most about this pizza was the dough. It's on the thicker side, but it wasn't dry or dense — soft with great texture.

With pizza, the crust end is often the part people leave behind, but this dough was so soft and tasty on its own that I ate it all the way through. Adding the cheese crust meant cheese all the way to the edge, which made it even better.

Pizza and beer: draft beer versus cream draft beer

Pizza always calls for beer! An unbeatable pizza-and-beer combo 🍕🍺 I had both draft beer and cream draft beer. Both came out nice and cold, and they matched perfectly with the warm pizza.

Trying it myself, this Dangdong, Gunpo favorite left a strong impression with its thick, soft dough and pizzas piled high with cheese and toppings. Being able to order half-and-half meant enjoying two flavors at once, and adding the cheese crust let me enjoy cheese properly right down to the last bite.
