Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters, Lotte Department Store Nowon is a roastery coffee shop on the B1 food hall floor of Lotte Department Store, a 1-minute walk from Nowon Station in Seoul. The signature coconut latte was ordered twice at once, caffeine and decaf at 7,000 won each, and staff used different-colored straws to tell the two cups apart. Side by side the taste difference was almost impossible to spot — both creamy, sweet and full of coconut aroma, enough to make the decaf whole beans worth taking home.

Coconut latte, caffeine: how it tastes
I'm such a fan of coconut coffee that I order it without fail whenever it's on a menu, and it turns out coconut coffee is the signature menu item at Jeong Ji-young Roasters! I was so happy about that, I ordered both a caffeine and decaf version. The staff thoughtfully gave me different colored straws so I could tell them apart!
Coconut latte, decaf: any difference?
The caffeine and decaf coconut lattes taste so alike there's barely any difference — the decaf really is that good. I own a coffee machine at home and often buy whole beans, so this made me think about grabbing a bag of the decaf beans! The coconut latte, topped with a generous layer of creamy foam, is sweet with a lingering coconut aroma that's genuinely delicious! Whenever you're craving coconut coffee, remember Jeong Ji-young Roasters :p

A luxurious, flavorful coconut latte — I can't tell you how happy I am that a coconut drink spot this good opened at a Lotte Department Store not far from home.
