Ingye-dong haejangguk lunch with two parking lots: Jeju Eunhuine
In short
Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a haejangguk (hangover soup) and dombe pork (Jeju-style boiled pork) restaurant on Hyowon-ro 265beon-gil in Ingye-dong, Suwon, with both a ground-level and a basement parking lot. After trying the soup at the original Jeju location, the writer brought her mom here for a weekday lunch and ordered haejangguk for 12,000 won, a small dombe pork for 13,000 won, and an extra seonjitang (blood cube soup) for 3,000 won. The earthenware pots came so packed with ingredients that neither of them could finish a single bowl of rice.

Why I tried it in Jeju and came back with my mom
Last year when I went to Jeju with my partner, we visited Eunhuine Haejangguk on our last day. We were rushing for our flight time so we scarfed it down.
Still, back then, eating the haejangguk (hangover soup) I thought — this is exactly the style my mom likes, I want to bring her here. I thought the chain only had branches in Jeju, but it turns out there's a location in Ingye-dong, Suwon too!! Here's my review after taking my mom, let's go.

Parking in Ingye-dong: both a ground lot and a basement lot
Finding a restaurant with parking in Ingye-dong is truly like finding a star in the sky, but Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch has it. 📍There's a ground-level parking lot and a basement parking lot📍

There's a barbecue restaurant up front, and Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk is at the far end.

What the restaurant is like at weekday lunch
I visited during weekday lunch. When I walked in there were a lot of office workers, mostly men. As expected, men eat at a different speed than the rest of us — they finished up and cleared out fast, so I snapped photos once the crowd thinned. Truly, gukbap is the soul food of men!!

What we ordered: ✔️haejangguk ✔️dombe pork.

Side dishes, black rice and the self-serve bar
The basic side dishes are kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), doenjang (soybean paste), minced garlic, and cheongyang chili peppers. I'm not a fan of plain white rice, so I loved that it came with black rice.

If you want more side dishes, there's a self-serve bar, and it also has chili oil and pepper.
First up: small dombe pork, 13,000 won

The dombe pork came out first. Order dombe pork and salted shrimp and lettuce come along with it.

Maybe because it's Jeju-sourced pork, the skin was super chewy — great texture, and I ate it up happily.
Haejangguk: stir in the dadaegi, then add chili oil and pepper

Haejangguk has arrived~!!
You might look at the first photo and think it's nothing special, but there's red seasoning (dadaegi) inside so you need to swirl-swirl it in before eating.

Once you swirl it in, this is what it looks like. I like it spicy so I piled on chili oil and pepper. My mom and I are both weak to spice, but even with the chili oil it was a good, satisfying spicy, so I liked it.

There's meat, glass noodles, and siraegi (dried radish greens) packed in generously. There's also a lot of bean sprouts, so the broth is really refreshing. The pot was so full of ingredients that just eating those filled us up — we couldn't even finish a bowl of rice.
Love blood cubes? Add seonjitang for 3,000 won

My mom and I are both blood cube (seonji) killers. There was one big chunk of seonji in the haejangguk already, so we added an extra seonjitang (3,000 won). It had a lot of seonji in it too, and we couldn't finish that one either and had to leave some behind — so disappointing..
The restaurant is also close to Suwon City Hall Station, so if you're looking for good eats near Suwon City Hall Station or a good gukbap spot, or if you want a spacious place for a second or third round of drinking-and-soup, this is a perfect fit.
