An honest, self-paid review of Diaz Cake Boutique in Paldal, Suwon — peach parfait and tiramisu High-end hotel lounge vibes with in-season fruit that looks almost too real — telling it straight since I paid for this myself.
After lunch I was hit with a crazy sweet craving, so my husband and I finally went to a dessert café we'd been meaning to try for ages.
I went as part of a press/campaign visit, but it was so good haha that I ordered another parfait myself — so this review includes both the sponsored part and the part I paid for myself.
Honestly, cake shops this good are rare in Ingye-dong. Here's where it is.

Chandelier and teapots: the interior atmosphere at Diaz Cake Boutique

The moment I stepped inside, a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling was sparkling so brightly my jaw dropped without meaning to. Near the counter, cute little teapots and teacups were lined up neatly — suddenly I felt like I'd been invited to a European aristocrat's tea time haha.

The second I looked into the showcase, my eyes practically spun. The fruit pieces on top of the cake slices caught the light and glistened so beautifully that as a fruit lover, I couldn't decide right away. Next to them, the original tiramisu sat perfectly squared off, and I ended up lingering in front of the showcase for a long while haha.
The visuals were seriously no joke — I thought if you brought one of these to an anniversary, all eyes would be on you the moment the box opens.

Private sofa booth seats

Plush sofa booth seats line a corridor-style space, and each seat feels slightly separated from the others, so it felt private and upscale.

What we (the couple) ordered
The menu looks something like this — you can also just enjoy cake with a warm cup of tea. But we were drawn in by the fruit visuals, so we ordered a peach parfait, the classic dessert tiramisu, and an iced americano to wash away all the sweetness.

Peach parfait, ₩12,900 — in-season fruit stacked like a tower
The moment we took the tray, my husband and I both shouted "whoa, this looks amazing" at the same time haha. Perfectly ripe peaches were fanned out neatly over the tall glass, backed up by a solid layer of ice cream and cream.
Zooming in close, the finely sliced yellow peach flesh had a glossy sheen running along its grain.
The creamy white texture of the vanilla ice cream layered with the fresh peach slices — just looking at it made my mouth water.
Even the ice cream alone felt soft haha.
Scoop up the ice cream with a spoon, add a piece of peach on top, and the cold sweet combination just melts away in your mouth.

This was seriously so good haha.
Even though it's a bit pricey, we ordered another one... this one was really my own money for the re-order... it wasn't a waste at all, it was seriously delicious.

Tiramisu, ₩11,900 — generously dusted with cocoa powder
The tiramisu arrived on a white frilled plate, cut into a neat square cube. The top was completely covered in velvety-fine cocoa powder, so beautiful before even touching it with a fork that it felt almost a shame to disturb.
The dark cocoa powder dusted on top looked soft and even, and the brand pick stuck into it was clean and tidy too.

When I cut into it with a fork, the cream didn't ooze out messily — it lifted up chewy yet soft.
Espresso was marbled through the cream, so even before eating you could tell it would have a rich, deep coffee flavor.

Look at how moist the sponge cross-section was on a full spoonful — the coffee syrup had soaked all the way to the bottom, so every bite released a deep aroma through the cream.
The mascarpone cream was nutty and clung well to the slightly bitter sponge, so it never felt heavy and I ended up scraping the plate clean.
Iced americano, ₩5,500 — nutty with no sourness
Served in a tall clear highball glass with a light layer of crema on top, it looked cool and refreshing just by sight. One sip in between bites of dessert went down clean, with no burnt or heavy taste — perfect. Instead of sharp acidity, it had a dark chocolate-like richness and a nutty flavor holding it together.
The deep coffee color showing through the ice made my mouth feel refreshed just from looking at it.
Who should visit Diaz Cake Boutique
From exploring the space to picking out dessert, time flew by without a dull moment, and my husband and I got to spend a properly sweet afternoon together after a long while.
If you love the crisp taste of in-season fruit or rich cheese flavors, just standing in front of the showcase choosing what to order will be fun. In the end, I even took one more photo of the tiramisu's cross-section next to the empty parfait glass, not even noticing my husband was waiting for me haha.
