What banchan come with the bossam?
I ordered bossam at Pyeongsang Myeonok Sotbap Bansang Duryu Negeori Branch. It didn't come on its own — dishes were set on the table one by one, so the spread ended up more generous than I expected.

Several banchan and vegetables were prepared together so I could mix and match as I ate. The plates and bowls were clean too. The food was laid out so neatly that I felt good even before I started eating.
Pyeongsang Myeonok bossam: how the pork tastes
A generously set-out bossam spread

The bossam I ordered arrived.

The bossam was arranged neatly on a large plate, with fresh vegetables, kimchi, garlic and chili served alongside.

The pork had a good balance of lean meat and fat. The lean parts were clean-tasting, while the fattier parts were moist and tender. The meat was sliced not too thick, so it was easy to eat in one bite.

It was good on its own, but even better with kimchi or vegetables.

Eating it with garlic and chili, the crunchy texture went really well with the softness of the meat.
