Hwajeong sushi restaurant late lunch special with tempura: Min Cook

I wanted to introduce a well-known sushi restaurant near Hwajeong Station. It's close enough to the station to reach easily, and there's nearby parking too. The place has a wide variety of delicious sushi and sashimi dishes, making it a great date spot as well as just a good place to eat well. I ordered the lunch special at Min Cook Dasima (민쿡다시마), a Hwajeong Station restaurant known for its tasty sushi, and it was both generous in portion and really delicious.

Where is Min Cook Dasima and where do you park?

Min Cook Dasima is the name of this Japanese restaurant — the name itself is unique enough that it sticks in your memory right away. It's located on the 2nd floor of a building in Hwajeong-dong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang. There's parking in the building itself, and you can also park at the E-mart directly across the street and register your parking pass there, so you don't have to worry about parking while you eat. It seems like a place that's been making sushi for quite a long time, and it's already well known among locals as one of the go-to restaurants in the area.

Inside Min Cook Dasima: busy even at a late lunch

Here's a look at the inside of Min Cook Dasima, this Hwajeong Station favorite~ The interior was a fairly spacious hall with good natural light and a well put-together layout. There were plenty of staff on hand, and they were kind and attentive, and the restaurant itself seemed to be kept clean and well managed. We came in for a late lunch, and there were still quite a lot of customers, haha. You could really feel why this place draws a crowd — the atmosphere is great and the food is genuinely good, which is why I'm introducing it here.

The owner of Min Cook Dasima is actually designated as a master of Japanese cuisine, and after eating there I found myself thinking I'd want to come back. As for ordering, each table has a QR code so you can order easily from your phone.

The composition of this set was really great — the value for money was excellent, and it let us try a variety of dishes at once, which made it a very cost-effective choice. The lunch special comes with 9 pieces of sushi, generously thick cuts of raw fish, and tempura, making for a plenty filling meal.

Tempura and salad came alongside as well, so even ordering just the lunch special without anything else was more than enough to fill up on, and it tasted great too.

A variety of different sushi types came out, each with its own character, which made eating even more fun, and having so many different kinds made the meal even more enjoyable. It felt like a fresh, really delicious sushi restaurant — the kind of place you wouldn't get tired of no matter how much you ate~

Using fresh, quality raw fish made this place even more delicious — as a sushi restaurant, it's one I'd genuinely recommend. The value for money was excellent, and the lunch special in particular was really outstanding. A Hwajeong Station favorite for sushi and sashimi, with a great atmosphere and great food — that's Min Cook Dasima.
