On a day with weather so nice I just wanted to be outside, I headed off to a place I'd wanted to visit for a while, thinking we'd eat well and take a walk after! Off to eat delicious sushi! There's also a grilled fish place nearby that was really good!

The raw salmon bowl and grilled fish at Min Cook Miso Yaki nearby were amazing too! This time, sushi at Min Cook Dasima!

The Hundred-Year Store sign and master craftsman plaque at Min Cook Dasima

Min Cook Dasima is actually a certified Hundred-Year Store! When a place has that sign up, it means the taste is already verified, which makes me expect even more, and think it must be even more delicious.

Min Cook Dasima was also selected as a World New Intellectual. With a master craftsman plaque on display too, it's clear this place is genuinely delicious! Being able to eat great food at a place like this is such a treat on its own. With my heart racing a little, in we went!

A spacious hall that fills up even on a weekday afternoon

Min Cook Dasima has a pretty spacious hall, so it looked like a group could dine comfortably here too. We visited on a weekday afternoon, after lunch hours, and even then there were quite a lot of people seated and eating. Popular spot for sure!

Here's the takeout menu board! The menu is so varied — it even has items you rarely see at a typical sushi restaurant, which is great. They also have lunchbox menus, perfect for grabbing to go if you're heading out somewhere, especially when the weather's this nice!

The porridge served before the meal was nutty and mildly seasoned — really tasty. It warmed and settled my stomach nicely, which made it even better!

Korean pork loin cutlet with rice, soup and salad on one tray

The first thing we ordered was the Hanwoo pork loin cutlet. We only ordered one cutlet, but it came with rice, soup, and salad, filling up an entire tray. The cutlet looked amazing right off the bat!

It comes out neatly arranged on a single tray, and it looks incredible. I was won over by the crispy, properly fried look of the cutlet, and once dipped in sauce, it was crunchy on the outside with juices packed inside — so soft and delicious. A sushi restaurant with cutlet this good? I could not skip coming back here!

The meat inside was so good — the moment I bit in, the juices and the nutty aroma of the cutlet filled my mouth, and it was so delicious! The sauce wasn't sweet either, more of a clean, savory sauce, which made it even better. Min Cook Dasima near Hwajeong Station won me over from the very first bite!

What comes with the special sushi set? 9 pieces plus sashimi, tempura and steamed egg

The second dish was the special sushi set. It comes with exactly 9 pieces of sushi, and everything served alongside was really generous — sashimi, salad, tempura, and soft steamed egg too. I thought, if I finish all of this, I'll be completely full. It really comes with so much variety!

It was one tray that clearly showed just how much care went into making it. How could they make it this colorful, pretty, and delicious all at once? Knowing it comes from the master craftsman's hands made it feel even tastier, and coming from such a warm, welcoming place, the dish felt full of even more heart. It looked so good!

The sushi wasn't just thrown together either — each piece had finely chopped green onion and a generous scattering of sesame seeds on top, so it looked delicious just from the sight of it! And the raw fish on top was so thick — less rice and more thick raw fish on top is exactly what I love, and that's exactly what Min Cook Dasima's sushi delivered! The flavor of the fish spread across my whole mouth, and I found myself impressed with every bite. The sashimi was also sliced thick and served in a nice variety, making the meal even better!

As a sushi lover, I couldn't eat as much as usual because of the heat, but with the weather this nice and eating sushi at such a great place, I got even more excited! From now on, whenever I want sushi, I'm coming back to Min Cook Dasima! It was just so good!

The tempura served alongside was also crispy, with that rich, oily flavor that's so good. Crunching through the crispy tempura shell was such a treat, and the meat inside was tender and soft too — it really felt like a proper, satisfying meal at a great restaurant after a long time. Min Cook Dasima near Hwajeong Station is a place I'll probably keep coming back to! If you're craving sushi or craving pork cutlet, go enjoy a delicious meal at Min Cook Dasima! It's so good!
