Let me give you my honest review of Eight Years, the Pangyo brunch café recommendation, where I healed my soul eating on the terrace. The outdoor terrace is truly a healing space, so it's the perfect spot to stop by when the weather's this good.

There is parking, but it's not huge. Instead, they support 1 hour at the nearby public lot.

They source fresh ingredients from Garak Market every week and prep and sell them the same day. No wonder the ingredients tasted so fresh and delicious! You can enjoy a truly fresh and tasty brunch here. This place has quite a reputation in Seongnam, and it definitely had a lot of customers, which was great to see.

Indoor seating and terrace atmosphere

Besides the terrace, the interior vibe is also amazing 🖤 The tables are spaced generously apart and the seats are really comfortable. The inside was bigger than I expected, which I liked. On cold or hot days, eating indoors instead of on the terrace would still feel very healing.

Eating here put me in such a good mood. A gentle breeze, fresh air 🥹 — by the way, dogs are welcome on the terrace seats 🐶

This is genuinely great value for the Baekhyeon-dong café street. Honestly a lot of places in this neighborhood are shamelessly overpriced (haha), but the prices here are reasonable. Great value for money and for the soul — easy to visit without any burden.

Is it okay to bring a baby?

Eight Years Pangyo is a great place to visit with a baby 👶🏻 They have plenty of baby chairs on hand, plus baby dishware, making it a baby-friendly space. We visited with our baby too, and it really was easy to eat here comfortably with a little one.

So how does Eight Years actually taste?!

Honestly, a lot of places have a great view but so-so food, but Eight Years isn't just healing in view and space — the food itself is good, so it's a must-visit. The pasta and the platter were both really tasty :)

How's the latte?

They apparently use branded beans from a 13-year barista who's a former roasting champion ☕️ Maybe that's why the latte was so nutty and delicious. The coffee bean aroma was great, and the milk was rich and generous in amount — I'd recommend the coffee too.

Chicken Brunch Plate

The fresh and delicious Chicken Brunch Plate. It's centered on chicken breast, topped with a plate full of salad, bread, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and more. It felt a bit like a breakfast plate, exactly the brunch vibe you'd want.

It really was noticeably delicious, probably because the ingredients are sourced fresh from Garak Market every single day! The salad veggies were super fresh, the bread was tasty, and every single ingredient was good — I ate really well. It's not too heavy either, making it perfect for brunch.

The bread was delicious too, and any combination you try works. Especially paired with the café latte, it really went well together. Highly recommend to anyone craving brunch.

Shrimp Garlic Oil Pasta

The Shrimp Garlic Oil Pasta, made with a base simmered for over 3 hours, had such deep savory flavor it was mesmerizing. I can honestly say it's the best oil pasta I've ever had. Why can't I ever get this flavor at home? No matter how much chicken stock I add, I never get this rich, deep savoriness 🥹

The oil pasta really has an intense flavor. I haven't tried the other pastas here so I can't speak to those, but I really want you to try the oil pasta specifically. The rich savory taste here is truly on point.

Would I go back?

A Pangyo brunch café recommendation! I fully recommend Eight Years Pangyo. Not only is the food and coffee delicious, but the terrace itself is pure healing. Sipping coffee and eating brunch in a gentle breeze made me so happy 🥹 Whenever I come back to the Baekhyeon-dong café street, this is a guaranteed repeat visit :)
