I had something to do in Jamsil, so while looking into a few things, I finally visited Daily Fix Jangmi Sangga, a place I’d been curious about for a while. I’d heard its name mentioned for handmade burgers in Jamsil, but it was a little surprising to find a place like this inside the Jangmi Sangga arcade I’d only heard about. Jamsil Jangmi Sangga has the particular atmosphere of an old shopping arcade, yet interesting restaurants are tucked away throughout it, so it was fun to take a slow look around.

Daily Fix is especially known as the “Kang Min-kyung burger,” so I was curious. When I visited, delivery orders kept coming in and the restaurant was quite busy, which naturally gave me time to look around while waiting for the food. That day, I tried the bacon cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, and chili cheese fries together.

Handmade burgers inside Jangmi Sangga
Rather than talking only about the taste today, I’ll casually share the menu lineup and how everything felt—things worth knowing when you’re looking for a handmade burger in Jamsil.

Korean beef patty and smoked bacon in the bacon cheeseburger
The first menu item that caught my eye on this visit was the bacon cheeseburger. It comes with handmade bacon that is smoked and grilled in-house, along with a thick patty made from 100% Korean beef.

This wasn’t the kind of patty pressed thin; it had a real meaty presence, so the aroma of the beef came through quite strongly in a bite. With the salty, savory flavor of the bacon added in, it was great for enjoying the fundamentals of a proper handmade burger. Personally, I think it matters that the bun, patty, and sauce don’t feel separate, but instead come together naturally in one bite, and the overall balance was good.

A double cheeseburger with two patties
Next was the double cheeseburger. With American cheese, Swiss cheese, and two 100% Korean beef patties, it is as substantial as its name suggests.

With two patties, the beef flavor was unmistakable in each bite, while the cheese melted smoothly and added salty, nutty richness.

If you especially enjoy the combination of cheese and patties, I think it would be easy to understand why this style of burger is popular.
Chili cheese fries and the fry options
The fries were more than just a side, too. The chili cheese fries we ordered with the burgers also stayed with me. They are topped generously with beef chili sauce, simmered for a long time with various spices, and cheese sauce.

The rich, substantial beef chili sauce on the crisp fries made the flavor much more intense than ordinary fries. With cheese sauce on top as well, they made for a pretty filling meal alongside the burgers.
Also, you can upgrade the fries to thick 18 mm-cut potatoes. They say it is a signature style that uses thick-cut Belgian potatoes to preserve a moist texture, so that is another combination I became curious about for next time.

What I liked most of all was the unlimited Coke refills. When you are eating burgers and fries, you start craving something fizzy, and being able to refill easily made it nice to drink without any hesitation during the meal.
Even while I was there, delivery orders kept coming in, and I could see the restaurant constantly moving. It felt like plenty of people sought it out not only to eat in, but also for takeout or delivery.
What stood out from experiencing it myself
- When you think of eating handmade burgers in Jamsil, it is easy to picture a polished new building or a large commercial district first, so finding this style of burger inside old Jangmi Sangga was fun.
- Both the bacon cheeseburger and double cheeseburger had a definite patty presence, so I think people who love meat would enjoy eating them.
- The chili cheese fries offered a fuller flavor than fries alone, thanks to the added beef chili and cheese.
I came across Daily Fix while looking for handmade burgers in Jamsil, and after actually visiting, it was interesting that it was not simply a place with a big reputation—it had character in the menu itself.

This Daily Fix visit was a really fun everyday experience for me. Although I go to Jamsil often, it was the first time I had properly looked around Jangmi Sangga, and I newly discovered how many different restaurants and characterful spaces there are inside this old arcade.

After trying the handmade burgers myself, I found that the meaty aroma of the thick Korean beef patties went well with the savory richness of the cheese. The chili cheese fries, with crisp fries topped with beef chili and cheese sauce, were filling too. Unlimited Coke refills were a small thing, but one I liked. I think visiting in person and experiencing food and spaces by your own standards is another pleasure of travel and everyday life.
There were menu items I did not get to try this time, so if I visit Jangmi Sangga again, I would like to try other burgers and the thick 18 mm fries as well.

If you want to find a space in Jamsil that feels a little different from usual, or you enjoy looking around for hidden restaurants inside old shopping arcades, it could be fun to take your time exploring Jangmi Sangga. It was a small food trip in search of a handmade burger in Jamsil, but it ended up being a day of discovering not only the food but Jangmi Sangga itself in a new way.

It was a memorable visit because I got to taste firsthand a handmade burger I had only encountered by its “one of Gangnam’s top three burgers” label, while also experiencing an old Jamsil shopping arcade. In the end, I think there are things you can only know by eating the food yourself. I am already curious about what hidden place I will discover next.
