Yeouido izakaya garlic butter king shrimp with garlic rice: Nani

Today I went to Nani Yeouido Branch, a great spot for dinner plans in Yeouido haha. It's close to Yeouido Station so it was easy to find, on the 3rd floor of the S-TRENUE Building. I was looking for a Yeouido izakaya with good vibes and good food, and to cut to the chase — my menu picks were a total success >.<

Nani Yeouido Branch hours, location and parking

Nani Yeouido Branch is open Monday through Saturday from 17:00 to 2 AM, last order at 1 AM, closed every Sunday (per Naver store info)! It runs from evening into late night so it's perfect for a drink after work haha.

It's at 37 Gukjegeumyung-ro 2-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, S-TRENUE Building 3rd floor! Not far from Yeouido Station, so it's easy to reach by public transit and easy to set as a meeting spot! When meeting up in Yeouido it can be awkward figuring out where to go, but being near the station made the location perfect! haha Plus 2 hours of parking support, which was so nice haha.

What are the partitioned and window seats like?

Once inside, the atmosphere was way better than I expected. The seats weren't just crammed together — they were divided almost like partitions, so it had a pretty private feel. If you like places where you can sit comfortably and chat rather than a loud, noisy bar, you'll like this one!!

The window seats especially were so pretty!!! We went in the evening and the Yeouido building lights really brought the mood to life. Great for a date, great for catching up with a friend over chat — I wanted to recommend this to anyone who cares about atmosphere among Yeouido izakayas haha.

The menu and the two dishes we ordered

Looking at the menu, there were way more dishes than I expected. From light drinking snacks to filling mains, there was a lot of fun in choosing. After some deliberation, we ordered the lamb shoulder rack and the garlic butter king shrimp!

The drink selection was pretty varied too! There were highballs and sake that fit the izakaya mood well, so you could pick drinks to match the food. If you're looking for a Yeouido izakaya with tasty snacks and a good drink, the menu alone will have your eyes darting around haha.

Free starter: fried gunbbang (hardtack biscuits) dusted with cinnamon

After ordering, we started nibbling on the basic snack right away! Perfect to pick at while waiting for the mains, and I kept reaching for more~~ The fried gunbbang dusted with cinnamon powder was especially delicious haha.

Garlic butter king shrimp 33,000 won plus garlic rice 2,000 won

First up, the garlic butter king shrimp!! It was ₩33,000, king shrimp grilled in butter, garlic, and olive oil! The moment it arrived I was shocked by the size of the shrimp. They look big in photos, but they're even bigger in person!!! With the butter and garlic aroma wafting up, the visuals and the smell together were basically unfair.

And I added garlic rice for ₩2,000! I got two bowls to eat heartily ^^ lol. There's garlic flakes on top of the rice, but the key is eating it together with the garlic butter shrimp rather than on its own!! If you order this dish, think of the garlic rice as basically a set and order it together haha.

Putting the garlic butter shrimp and garlic rice side by side, the combo was so good >.< The butter-and-garlic sauce itself was so tasty it would've been a shame not to eat it with rice. You've gotta scrape up every last bit of leftover sauce after finishing the shrimp lol.
