Inside Smile Samgyeop: waiting area and seating for 80

It's on the first floor of the Oryun Building, roughly halfway between Saetgang Station and Yeoido Station! As soon as you walk into the building, the restaurant is right there. There's a waiting area with orange chairs right in front of the entrance, so it looked pretty comfortable to wait there if there's a line.

Inside, there are tables that can seat up to 80 people, which makes it perfect for a Yeoido work dinner or group gathering. Usually BBQ places have tables crammed together which gets uncomfortable, but that wasn't the case here at all 😊
What we ordered at Smile Samgyeop and what it cost

Here's the menu at Smile Samgyeop Yeoido 📋 What we ordered was...
- Kimchi minari pork belly for 3 people, ₩51,000
- 2 bowls of rice, ₩3,000
- Fried rice for 2, ₩11,000

Once we finished ordering, they set out the basic side dishes: seasoned scallions, lettuce, perilla leaves, chili peppers, garlic, and a dipping sauce. On top of that, a spicy kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) came as a basic side dish, which really got our appetites going even before the meat arrived. 😋
Kimchi minari pork belly grilled for you by the staff

Here comes the gorgeous meat ✨ On the grill they carefully laid out pork belly along with well-fermented napa cabbage kimchi, onions, and mushrooms. Best of all, a kind staff member grilled everything for us from start to finish, so we could just sit back and eat comfortably! 🧡

Just look at this golden-brown grilled meat ❗ They cut it into neat, bite-sized pieces, and it made my mouth water just looking at it haha

Just as the meat was almost done, they piled a truly massive amount of minari right in the middle of the grill 💚 The portion was seriously generous! As it wilted slightly, this fragrant minari aroma started rising up, and eating it together with the meat cut through the greasiness completely and had it flying off the plate.
Let's take a moment to enjoy the sizzling sound of it grilling,,, ⭐

Finally, the perfect visual of finished meat and minari together 💛 The minari had wilted down just the right amount, the ideal state to eat with the meat. Piling golden-brown pork belly with minari and kimchi all together in one bite meant there was never a moment of greasiness, so it just kept disappearing 😊

We put the cheese on one side of the grill until it turned golden brown, then topped it with a well-cooked piece of pork belly and tried it! The nutty richness explodes — a truly fantastic combo 💛
Smiley-face fried rice to finish the meal

Of course, the finale for any Korean meal is the K-dessert — fried rice! We ordered two servings and the portion was so massive it filled the whole grill 🍚 On top of that, the staff member made eyes out of egg and drew a smiley face expression, isn't that so cute 😊 A happy and delicious way to wrap things up!
Final verdict: is Smile Samgyeop good for a Yeoido group dinner?

The location between Saetgang and Yeoido stations makes it easy to get to, and with the two-story layout and generously spaced tables, it's perfect for a Yeoido work dinner or group gathering! They grilled all the meat for us deliciously so we could eat completely at ease 😆 Fragrant minari, savory pork belly, and even the cute smiley fried rice — nothing was missing from a truly satisfying meal! For anyone who wants to enjoy a gathering comfortably in a pleasant atmosphere, I completely recommend Smile Samgyeop in Yeoido 👍
