I went with my younger sister to Gapposo near Gasan Digital Complex Station for a long-overdue good meal on the weekend. This time we ordered the weekend menu for two, which let us try a little bit of everything — perfect for two people. Best of all, every dish that came out was plated so nicely that just looking at it made me happy before I'd even taken a bite.

Does Gapposo offer 2 hours of free parking?

Gapposo has a fairly wide parking lot, so it was easy to visit by car, and the 2 hours of free parking made it even less of a hassle. When I'm looking for a good sashimi restaurant near Gasan Digital Complex Station, parking matters to me almost as much as the food.

For women driving themselves to a restaurant, having enough parking space quietly matters a lot. Not having to hunt for parking on some crowded back street was something I personally really appreciated.

What comes with the weekend menu for two at Gapposo?

What we ordered this time was Gapposo's weekend menu for two. When dining as a pair, it's often awkward to order several dishes separately, but this set was designed so two people could enjoy a variety of food together, which made ordering easy. As the dishes started arriving one by one, the plating was the first thing that caught my eye. The colors and composition were arranged so nicely that it was fun just taking photos.

At a good restaurant, taste matters most, but a beautifully plated meal makes the whole dining experience feel a bit more special. Gapposo's food centers on Japanese and seafood dishes, so there was plenty of variety to enjoy. From fresh seafood to sushi and donburi (rice bowl), being able to try several dishes instead of just one was the advantage of the weekend menu for two. So if you're looking for a good sashimi restaurant near Gasan Digital Complex Station and want to enjoy sashimi alongside a range of Japanese dishes, this seems like a great fit.

Gapposo's sashimi, sushi and donburi: the food and plating

Eating through the meal, I felt it wasn't just a meal to fill up on, but one where you slowly savor each dish. The plates looked clean, and each dish had its own charm, which made sharing with my sister more fun. We said things like "this one's really pretty," took photos, compared flavors, and naturally enjoyed the meal.

The name Gapposo itself somehow made me sense the chef's touch behind the food. I didn't want to write anything speculative about the chef's specific career or background since I couldn't confirm it myself, but after actually eating, I could clearly feel that each plate was prepared with care in both composition and plating. What impressed me most was that the nice-looking food wasn't just for show — the flow of the meal felt natural as we enjoyed the different dishes together.

What worked well for two sisters sharing at Gapposo

What I liked most about visiting Gapposo with my sister was getting to share a wider variety of dishes than we'd normally have. If we'd each ordered just one dish, we would have missed out on the others, so the weekend menu for two seems ideal for anyone visiting as a pair. And if you're visiting as a good sashimi restaurant option near Gasan Digital Complex Station, the parking situation is worth remembering for anyone driving. Thanks to the wide lot and 2 hours of free parking, we could enjoy the meal at a more relaxed pace.
