Western restaurant in Misa, Hanam: jambon beurre pasta at Bokkeriu

For anyone stressing over where to go for a date in Hanam, I want to recommend a spot that nailed both atmosphere and taste — Bokkeriu (보께리우), our Misa, Hanam find ༘

Bokkeriu location, parking, and break time

Bokkeriu is a Western restaurant at 102-19 Misadong-ro, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, open Tue–Sun 11:30–22:00 and closed every Monday. Break time is 15:30–17:30, with last orders at 14:00 and 20:30.

Besides the dedicated parking lot on the 1st floor, there's a large parking space right across the street too, so it's also a great choice for group gatherings ˶'ᵕ'˶

Weekday or weekend, break time runs from 15:00 to 17:30, so it's worth checking before you head over.

Bokkeriu is up a staircase to the 2nd floor (no elevator), so if you're visiting with a baby, I wouldn't recommend bringing a stroller .ᐟ

What the open kitchen and window seats are like

The main hall at Bokkeriu has an open kitchen layout, so you can watch the whole cooking process. We'd booked ahead, and they set us up at a window-side table.

With the open kitchen, you could see everything being cooked in a clean space, which made me trust the food even more 🍽️ that's the best part of an open kitchen ༘

We visited during the day and enjoyed the lush green view while eating 🍃 but looking at other reviewers' dinnertime photos, evening has a totally different vibe!

The interior is spacious with wide gaps between tables, so it was also easy to chat while eating ꔛꕤ

Even though we came after lunch hour, there were still plenty of guests .ᐟ If you're going for an anniversary or a special occasion, I'd definitely recommend booking ahead 'ᵕ'

They have baby chairs and baby tableware on hand, so it'd also be a great pick as a Hanam pasta spot or restaurant that's good to visit with a baby ෆ

Bokkeriu offers courses like the weekday lunch set and the steak set for two at ₩118,000. We got the steak set for two with an ade upgrade for both drinks (+₩4,000), plus a Korean beef pizza for ₩30,000 as an extra.

On weekdays there's an affordable lunch set that runs from salad through pasta, pizza, and coffee, all the way up to the steak set for two, a full course with soup, salad, pasta, steak, dessert, and coffee 🍽️

Beyond pasta, pizza, and steak, they also have brunch items like salads and risotto, plus a full coffee lineup ☕ 𓈒 𓏸 ₊˚⊹ so if you're looking for a Western restaurant in Misari, Hanam, this menu is worth a look.

First out was - ̗̀ sourdough & a cup of soup ̖́- the pairing of the warm, clean-tasting bread with the butter that came alongside was impossible not to love!

Chef's Choice half salad

- ̗̀ Chef's Choice half salad ̖́- a pre-meal salad with nuts and cheese, fresh and great for waking up the appetite 🪤

Handmade jambon beurre pasta at Bokkeriu

Of the six pastas on the menu, we ordered the handmade jambon beurre pasta (잠봉 뵈르 파스타), savory with handmade jambon, bacon, and a handmade butter crumble 𓂃 🩶

À la carte it's 23.0, and given how much handmade jambon actually goes into the pasta, the price felt more than fair .˚ ༘ Rich, smooth cream sauce combined with generous, generous amounts of jambon .. ♡ if you're a fan of jambon sandwiches, this is a pasta you'll love .ᐟ

As a pasta spot recommendation in Hanam, this was hands down the best pasta I've had recently 🍝

Korean beef striploin steak, 200g

The main of the steak set for two - ̗̀ Korean beef striploin steak, 200g ̖́- came with grilled vegetables like asparagus, mushrooms, and zucchini that cut the richness perfectly and tasted amazing 'ᴗ'

Thick, cooked just right, not tough at all from the first bite, and so tender ˚ ༘ the clean-tasting steak paired great with the wholegrain mustard sauce and salt on the side!

Wood-fired Korean beef pizza, 30,000 won

Not part of the course, but we ordered it extra because we wanted to try it - ̗̀ Korean beef pizza ̖́- if you visit Bokkeriu, definitely order the pizza too ෆ

The crust isn't too thick, and topped generously with Korean beef striploin, cauliflower, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, and onion, the chewy wood-fired dough matched the toppings perfectly ༘

This has become my husband's and my favorite pizza 🍕 ෆ

Lemon ade and grapefruit ade

You can upgrade to ade for +₩2,000, so if you like ade, go for it ˶'ᵕ'˶

Anniversary tip: Bokkeriu's dessert lettering service

Bokkeriu offers a service where, if you leave a lettering message in the Naver reservation request field, they'll write it on the final dessert of the course. The finish of the ₩118,000 course for two is a homemade dessert with two cups of coffee.
