Hanam Korean BBQ with kids’ zone: Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang

With a family meal coming up in a few days, I went ahead and visited Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Hanam Misa Branch! I already knew it was famous as a family gathering spot, but seeing it in person, I was surprised at how much more perfect it was for a family meal than I expected. Before coming with my actual family, I stopped by in advance and looked closely at everything, from the restaurant atmosphere to the seating and facilities. Once I had a proper look around, I could see why so many people choose it for family gatherings!

Parking and location

There’s nowhere easier to park than here, haha. You get 2 hours 30 minutes of free parking in the building!

And Hanam Sports Complex right next to the building offers 4 hours of free parking! The lot is very spacious, so drivers can visit without parking worries. When visiting the restaurant, I recommend using the elevator in the building parking lot, or the elevator in front of Jurarrium on the first floor!

Hibab really knows good food, haha. Whenever I look up a great restaurant, it feels like Hibab has visited every single one at least once, haha.

I visited on a weekday, so there was no wait, but for weekends, definitely join the Catchtable queue or make a reservation before you go!! There are comfy sofas ready for waiting guests, too. It was dark when I went, so it was more of a road view, but in the daytime it overlooks Misari Regatta Park, so it seems like it would be nice for taking in the scenery 👍🏻

Inside: window seats to group rooms

The interior is quite large, but even on a weekday there were lots of guests, so the window seats were full hahaㅠㅠ

So we were seated in the middle! But honestly, even better—it was right in front of the self-service bar, so convenient 👏🏻 haha.

This was a group dining room, and it looked perfect for company dinners or big family gatherings! For groups of 10 or more, they say you can contact the restaurant in advance about a reservation.

They can also install partitions inside the rooms, so even if you are not a large group, you can enjoy a private meal! They have lots of high chairs, too.

A huge kids’ zone that’s great with children

This place has the biggest kids’ zone of any restaurant I’ve seen, haha. It’s heaven for kids... There were all kinds of game machines and a playground and more, and the children were having an absolute blast haha. It’s seriously huge haha.

Of course, you do need to follow the safety rules~~ But the even more amazing thing is that you can watch the playground CCTV live through the ordering tablet installed at every table!!! You can eat while checking whether your child is playing happily, without having to go over and look for yourself! 😮👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It looked like parents could relax, chat, and enjoy their meal thanks to that haha.

The half-pig platter and menu

We ordered the half-pig platter (₩42,500)! If you are looking for a good Misa lunch spot, I also recommend the stone-plate beef seokgalbi set meal. I did not get to try it myself this time, but after reading lots of reviews, I found so many people praising it as delicious. It’s definitely something I want to try on my next visit 😊

But what’s amazing is that they reportedly give you ₩10,000 in points for writing a receipt photo review, haha. Not leaving a review would be a loss..

Self-service corner and abundant side dishes

The self-service corner had a variety of banchan (Korean side dishes) and sauces. Since it is clearly a place lots of children visit, children’s plates and spoons were being kept hygienically sterilized in a sanitizer, and that thoughtful detail impressed me too. 😚

The 500g half-pig platter meal

And the basic side dishes were insane.. There were so many of them.. Most of all, the quality of the meat was really good. It was thick, with a nice balance of fat and lean meat, and the texture was so tender!

And because we ordered assorted meat or single-cut meat for three or more people per table, grilled fish came with the basic side dishes—so we got grilled mackerel!

A whole mackerel came out, crisp on the outside and moist inside, making it perfect with rice. 👍🏻 On top of that, there were all kinds of side dishes including doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), muksabal (acorn jelly in chilled broth), jjolmyeon (chewy spicy noodles), and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles)! Such amazing value for ₩42,500... A seriously drool-worthy spread..

I put it on jjolmyeon and onions, too.. Then, whenever it started to feel rich, having muksabal and doenjang-jjigae was just perfection.... ✨

As we finished our delicious meal and were about to leave, I spotted dessert coffee and ppeongtwigi (puffed grain snacks)! We were too full to have any, but I fell for their generosity once again—they even take care of dessert, haha.

Why it was perfect for a family meal

Overall, this was a place where everything from the meat to the basic side dishes felt generous and satisfying! Plus, with its huge kids’ zone, it was perfect for a family meal.
