Thick men's hair: why get a cut and a perm together?

Kkalkkali's hair had gotten so shaggy at some point, haha. The sides and back had grown out a lot, and the overall volume was sitting in an awkward spot that needed cleaning up. Since his hair is pretty thick, it looks messy fast even with a little extra length, so this time we decided not to just cut it but to get a perm along with the cut!

This time we visited Bailey Hair Label Jeonju Hyoja! It's open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM. It's in the Jeonju Sinsigaji area, so it wasn't hard to find, and there are plenty of shops around, so it's a good spot to grab a meal or stop by a café after the salon~! haha

Bailey Hair Label Jeonju Hyoja looked clean from the outside, and once we stepped in, the interior was bigger than I expected. The seats had generous spacing so it never felt crowded, and everything was kept tidy overall. While Kkalkkali was getting his hair done, I waited nearby and it was a comfortable place to be~! haha

On one side there was a space for consultations and lockers for personal belongings.

There was also separate info about memberships and packages, so if you visit often it might be worth comparing~! haha

Consultation: an easy-to-manage look rather than a styled one

Before really starting, they checked his hair condition once more! Viewed from the side, the hair overall sat heavy and flat, and the back had volume sitting in an awkward, lifted spot! Kkalkkali said he didn't want anything too done-up, just something natural and easy to manage day to day!

The cut first, then the perm, step by step

At Bailey Hair Label Jeonju Hyoja, they did the cut first and then moved on to the perm! They kept checking the length and overall look along the way and shaped it to match Kkalkkali's face and existing hair condition, so I just left him to it and waited~!

They brought out a drink and some light snacks too, so I basically waited like I was at a café! Hahaha

And then the perm began! They rolled it quite meticulously~! With thick hair, a perm can easily end up looking too bulky if done wrong, but they kept it from being overdone overall, going for natural volume and curl~

Before and after: fringe volume and back silhouette

Looking at the finished hair, the before/after difference was clear! Hahaha. The fringe got volume with a naturally flowing feel,

and the sides and back were much cleaner too. Especially from the back, the rounded, settled silhouette looked so much tidier than before~! Kkalkkali liked it too, which made me happy! Haha

At the end, they also gave us a shampoo sample to use at home! Haha. It was our first visit, and everything from the consultation to the cut and perm went smoothly — most of all, I was happy that Kkalkkali's hair got cleaned up so nicely~!
