My fiancé and I were trying to figure out what to have for dinner and ended up at Euljiro Yeontan Gui Ansan Wadong Branch, where you can grill all kinds of meat over real charcoal! You can order each type of meat in 100g portions, which was perfect for us since we wanted to try a little of everything ♥ The vibe was great and every single dish held up in quality, so let me introduce this to anyone looking for a good Wadong meat restaurant.

What is Euljiro Yeontan Gui Ansan Wadong Branch like inside?
Euljiro Yeontan Gui Ansan Wadong Branch has a retro yet cozy feel! And true to its name, you really do grill meat over an actual charcoal fire!! The smoky aroma that spreads while it grills gets your appetite going right away...

We'd overdone it drinking the night before, so we went in telling ourselves, today we're just eating, no alcohol!

But watching the meat sizzle over charcoal, there's no way you can not drink with a menu like this... so in the end we had a drink that night too, haha.

Five cuts at 100g each: the full order
We ordered salted charcoal chicken thigh, boneless charcoal chicken feet, fresh charcoal gizzards, fresh Korean pork skirt steak, and Korean pork ribs — 100g of each!

There's a no-lose lucky draw event running for reviews, haha.

I really loved that instead of ordering a ton of just one meat, you can try a little of everything you're craving ㅠㅠ For us, who love eating a wide variety of things, this Wadong meat restaurant was totally our style, haha.

Salted charcoal chicken neck with frozen shredded radish
We started by grilling the salted charcoal chicken thigh, and it kept that chewy-yet-tender texture chicken thigh is known for, with a clean salted flavor that made it easy to eat without feeling heavy! Grilling it over charcoal added a subtle smoky note that made it taste better than the chicken thigh I usually eat!!

Eating it with the frozen shredded radish that came alongside adds a cool, crisp texture that makes it even tastier!!!!! Make sure to wrap some in with your lettuce wrap :) It also cuts through the greasiness of the meat nicely, a combination I kept reaching for every time the meat changed!

Boneless charcoal chicken feet
The boneless charcoal chicken feet had just the right spiciness and a properly chewy texture, haha.

Being boneless makes it easy to eat, and with the spicy sauce plus the charcoal aroma, it's truly a dish that calls for alcohol...! (Spicier than expected.)

Fresh charcoal-grilled gizzards
And the fresh charcoal gizzards, which were tastier than I expected!

Being fresh gizzards, there's no off smell, just a clean, crunchy, chewy texture that I really loved!!! If you're already a gizzard fan, this is a menu you have to order ~ I thought only the meat items would be good, but I was surprised the chicken feet and gizzards were just as high quality, haha.

Best of the night: fresh Korean pork skirt steak
The dish we enjoyed most that day was the fresh Korean pork skirt steak!

Juicy and tender with a chewy-soft bite — the moment we took the first bite, my fiancé and I both said at the same time how good it was!!!

Grilled to a nice golden brown over charcoal, the smoky aroma and savory flavor really come alive ㅠㅠ If you visit Euljiro Yeontan Gui Ansan Wadong Branch, I strongly recommend you try this one!

How to grill the Korean pork ribs
The Korean pork ribs weren't overly sweet or heavily seasoned, and the sauce had soaked in nicely, but

since the sauce can burn easily over charcoal, it's best to flip it often, front and back, while grilling, haha.

Sides: doenjang stew and steamed egg
It felt like something was missing with just meat, so we also ordered doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) and steamed egg!

Not just the mains but the sides too were delicious down to the last detail, making the meal even more satisfying, haha. It's a bit of a shame we discovered the recommended dishes late, so next time we're planning to try the ddwitgogi (back meat) and fresh ribs, and the recommended menu :)

A place where you can order a wide variety of meats at 100g each, tasting a little of many kinds, with the genuine fun and flavor of grilling over real charcoal!

The self-bar and pineapple dessert
As you can see from the photos, the self-bar is clean and has a wide variety of side dishes!!!!

For dessert, grilled pineapple ~♥ If you're looking for a good Wadong meat restaurant in Ansan for a drink, or want to enjoy many different kinds of meat, give Euljiro Yeontan Gui Ansan Wadong Branch a try. Next time I'll make sure to properly try the dishes I missed this time :)
