Geumjeong Japanese restaurant for salmon rice bowl: Moshi Moshi
In short
Moshi Moshi PNU Branch is a Japanese restaurant in Geumjeong, Busan, two minutes on foot from Pusan National University. We added a salmon soy-marinated rice bowl and two pieces of sushi to the ₩17,000 soba set, and especially loved the icy broth and springy salmon. A generous, convenient lunch worth ordering as a set.

Today I went to Moshi Moshi PNU Branch, a sushi spot famous around Pusan National University 😆!!
Moshi Moshi PNU Branch, close to Pusan National University
Moshi Moshi is a sushi restaurant just a two-minute walk from Pusan National University! We came by car, and there was parking on the first floor of the building, so it was super convenient~^^ Be sure to get your parking ticket validated when you leave!!

I liked that the prices were kindly posted right at the entrance, so we could check them before going in, haha. I also really loved how many different set-menu combinations they had!

It was early lunchtime, and people were gradually starting to fill the place! We had reserved ahead and sat by the window~

There was also a high chair near the entrance, and the open layout let us see into the kitchen. Being able to see the ingredients in the display case out front made me trust the place even more! 👏👏

The cutlery and cups were set separately like this! Personally, I really liked that we did not have to take cutlery from a container at each table and that the cups were not stacked together—it felt much more hygienic, haha.

Ordering the soba set and salmon soy-marinated rice bowl
Each table had table ordering, so we could order comfortably from our seats~ We ordered the soba set, a salmon soy-marinated rice bowl à la carte, and two extra pieces of sushi! To give away the conclusion first, every single thing was such a good choice^^!!

The ₩17,000 soba set comes with six pieces of sushi, soba, a vegetable salad, and a tofu salad! Getting six pieces of sushi in a set like this feels like such great value! For reference, soba à la carte is ₩9,000!

Dip the pan-momil (cold buckwheat noodles served on a tray) into the cool broth topped with tiny shards of ice, and you can enjoy the springy texture of the momil (buckwheat noodles) in such a refreshing, delicious way!

All the sushi felt fresh, which was great, and I loved the thoughtfully varied lineup: flounder, salmon, spear squid, shrimp, raw shrimp, egg, and more~!

Every piece of sushi was so delicious~ No wonder it is known as such a good sushi spot near Pusan National University! Now let me show you the salmon soy-marinated rice bowl I picked!
A salmon soy-marinated rice bowl even better than expected
Salmon, which I absolutely love...♥!!!!!! I personally love salmon soy-marinated rice bowls so, so much, so my expectations were sky-high!!!! Hahaha 🥹 And because I still wanted more, I added two pieces of sushi too^^,, The salmon soy-marinated rice bowl is ₩13,000 à la carte, or ₩17,000 as a set with udon, tempura, vegetable salad, and tofu salad! Overall, the sets are such good value, right? Haha.

First of all, what is there even to say about the sushi... both pieces were so delicious! I would have been so sad if I had not ordered them ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ!! Ordering sushi is essential, essential!!

The salmon soy-marinated rice bowl was... seriously insanely, incredibly delicious..!!! 🧡 So tasty hahaha. The salmon had such a bouncy texture~!!! I had really high expectations because I love it so much, but it was even better than I expected^^

Put some rice, onion, and wasabi on it, then add seaweed and sprouts? It is seriouslyㅠㅠㅠㅠ so delicious... You absolutely have to pile everything on and take a huge bite, hahaha. It was quite a generous portion, but we finished it in no time... I really, really recommend the salmon soy-marinated rice bowl!!
For anyone looking for a great sushi restaurant near Pusan National University!! I definitely recommend enjoying a sushi set and the salmon soy-marinated rice bowl at Moshi Moshi PNU Branch!!
