Dongnae sushi restaurant with cold soba: Moshi Moshi Sushi
In short
Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch is a Japanese restaurant on the eighth floor of Lotte Department Store in Dongnae, Busan. My sister and I shared Set 2 with thick-cut sushi, chilled memil noodles, and crispy shrimp tempura; Moshi Moshi Sushi is a great pick when everyone wants something different.

Finally, vacation is over and school is back in session...!!!!! Writing that down makes me sound like such a terrible mom... But the endless cycle of cooking was SO hard..! Making meals through vacation was tiring enough, but catering to the kids' tastes meant meat, eggs, gim, meat, eggs, gim, meat, eggs, gim... on an infinite loop.
Now that school is back, I'm going to go eat something else. I'm going to eat all the things you can't eat, hahaha.

Moshi Moshi Sushi is in the restaurant area on the eighth floor of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, so it is wonderfully easy to find! It is especially easy to reach from Yangsan too, since Exit 5 of Myeongnyun Station connects directly to the department store. (Take bus 1100 or 1200 and get off at Myeongnyun Station!!!!)

There were lots of seating options, from counter seats that are great for eating alone to tables for two to four people, so it seemed like plenty of people came for dates or family meals. Today I came on a date with my sister.

Checking the menu, from sushi to noodles and pork cutlet
The menu is displayed nicely at the entrance, so you can scope it out before going in. Besides sushi, there seem to be lots of noodle dishes such as udon, along with pork cutlet, set meals, and individual dishes!

This recommended spread also lets you have sushi and noodles together, which seems like a nice combination.

Set 2 with sushi, memil noodles, and shrimp tempura
You can order using the kiosk on the table, and they are also running a receipt-review event. (Two pieces of shrimp sushi are complimentary.) We ordered Set 2, which includes sushi, memil noodles, and shrimp tempura. We were going to eat, eat, eat.

The expiry date written clearly on the soy sauce on the table—so hygienic, right? ♡

From our table we could see toward the kitchen, and I was impressed by how cleanly everything seemed to be maintained.

Thick-cut sushi and refreshing memil noodles
First out were the tofu salad and vegetable salad! These are so nice as a little starter, you know. Just waking up the stomach a bit.

The sushi sets arrived one by one!

Look at this glorious sight! How long has it been since I had sushi!!!!!

I loved that there were different kinds of sushi, from salmon and shrimp to tuna and white fish—and especially the ratio of rice to fish!!!!! The fish was nicely thick-cut, so you could really feel its texture in one bite, and there was not too much rice. So good.

Eating only sushi can feel a little plain after a while, so taking a bite of the refreshing cold memil noodles cleans up your palate and feels so nice.

Freshly fried shrimp tempura—what more is there to say? So, so, so crispy. The best!!!!! I felt like I could repeat sushi, memil noodles, shrimp tempura forever!
Why it also worked for a family meal
Honestly, Moshi Moshi is a place I had casually noticed every time I came to Lotte Department Store Dongnae, and it always seemed busy, you know? After coming today, I can see why: beyond sushi, there are plenty of easy side-by-side choices like memil noodles, udon, and ramen. It seems like a good place not only for sushi lovers but also for families whose tastes differ, and the restaurant is clean too! Plus, it is so accessible inside Lotte Department Store! Next time I should bring the kids, hahaha.
