I was looking for a good jokbal spot near Sanghyeon Station and visited Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch because I wanted warm jokbal. Jokbal is definitely best freshly boiled and still warm, so I decided to eat at the restaurant!

This is Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch, a jokbal restaurant near Sanghyeon Station. It was easy to find, and having access to the building's underground parking made it convenient to visit by car too. Parking is free for two hours, apparently. The weather has been pleasantly cool lately, so eating at an outdoor table would be nice too!

You can also get ₩5,000 off when ordering takeout. Taking it home sounds like a good option when you want to eat comfortably at home.

A relaxed setting for gatherings or work dinners

The interior was neatly kept, with plenty of table space, so it was comfortable for a meal. Jokbal restaurants often get groups, and the tables did not feel squeezed together, so I thought it would be a fine place for a gathering or work dinner near Sanghyeon Station.

They were also running a receipt review event, where you can receive a seaweed-flake rice ball as a free service. Jokbal with a rice ball sounds like a wonderfully filling meal.

And they had Slow Village makgeolli, a Korean rice wine that I like, so I was happy haha. Makgeolli goes really well with jokbal too.

The piping-hot jokbal arrived! The sauces included salted shrimp, spicy sauce, and ssamjang, a savory dipping paste. There was also bean sprout soup, which seemed perfect as a drinking snack, you know? It had a slight kick, making it nice to take a spoonful between bites of jokbal.

Tender and chewy warm jokbal

Chewy and tender jokbal near Sanghyeon Station! As expected, eating it warm gave it a lovely soft, chewy texture. The distinctive pork smell was not bothersome, and it was fun to eat the tender parts alongside the chewier parts.

We ordered the medium, and the two of us ate until we were really full! It came with kimchi and dried shredded radish too, and I especially liked the combination of shredded radish and jokbal haha.

Ahh... maybe they use front leg meat? It was all good cuts! The ratio of fat to lean meat was just right!!

On top of that, if you dine in, makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) comes as a free service, so it was great to enjoy alongside it! You cannot leave out jokbal and makguksu, right? Haha, I had a delicious meal at this jokbal spot near Sanghyeon Station!
