Yongin Korean restaurant for half-and-half jokbal: Cheongdam Jokbal

Phew, today is an incredibly tiring day ㅠㅠ My eyes keep closing. Well, there are days like this and days like that, right!!! Wouldn't it be amazing to eat nothing but delicious food every day? Haha, there are just so many things I want to eat!! Still, I think thinking about food is the happiest kind of stress.

This day, I had been craving jokbal (braised pig's trotters) for the first time in a while, so I quickly stopped by Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch (청담족발 광교상현점) in Gwanggyo haha.

Cheongdam Jokbal near Sanghyeon Station Exit 2

Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch is extremely close to Exit 2 of Sanghyeon Station. It is close to the station, and parking is available in the building, so accessibility is excellent! It was raining quite a bit on the day I visited, so I parked comfortably and ate haha. The restaurant is by the building entrance, making it easy to find. The sign says Cheongdam Jokbal.

Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily. It opens earlier than I expected and stays open late.

I visited a little early for dinner, and perhaps because it was raining, there seemed to be so many delivery orders! Delivery riders came by often! There is also seating, so you can eat inside!! Dine-in, delivery, and takeout are all available.

Since it has not been open for long, the interior is very clean too. You can store belongings by opening the seats, and disposable aprons were available on one side. If you dine at Cheongdam Jokbal, they validate 2 hours of parking!!

Jokbal, bossam, and half-and-half sets

Here is the menu and pricing at Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch. Both jokbal and bossam (boiled pork wraps) come in medium, large, and extra-large sizes. There are five jokbal varieties: classic jokbal, charcoal-grilled spicy jokbal, charcoal-grilled salt-roasted jokbal, barbecue sauce-grilled jokbal, and garlic jokbal. They also have bossam! There is classic bossam and garlic bossam.

If you want two kinds of jokbal, you can order a set menu! I liked that you can have it half-and-half! Of course, they have alcohol too! Jokbal makes a great drinking snack haha.

Dine-in side dishes and makguksu

When you dine in, these side dishes come out. And makguksu (buckwheat noodles) is included too! I will show you the makguksu separately below. The vegetables and kimchi are all side dishes that go well with jokbal and bossam!! Bean sprout soup comes along with them too. I had it whenever the spicy jokbal felt hot haha.

Everything came out so neatly, approved!! I personally love dried shredded radish, so I got a refill haha.

A half-and-half spread of warm and charcoal-grilled spicy jokbal

Wow ㅇ0ㅇ This is what I ordered!! Set 1, medium warm jokbal + charcoal-grilled spicy jokbal, for ₩50,000. I was debating whether to have regular jokbal or spicy jokbal, but if half-and-half is possible, of course you have to get the set!! The whole spread was arranged so deliciously haha.

First, I started with the warm jokbal. The jokbal was really tender and delicious, with no unpleasant smell. Wrapping it in lettuce with this and that made it twice as delicious haha. I dipped it lightly in salted shrimp, had it with dried shredded radish too!! I also liked that the portion was generous.

Charcoal-grilled spicy jokbal that even a spice wimp kept reaching for

This time, the charcoal-grilled spicy jokbal. Wow, true to its name, the spicy heat rushed up as soon as I took a bite!!! Eating the spicy jokbal alongside the classic jokbal meant I never got tired of it at all hahaha. I am a total spice wimp, but this charcoal-grilled spicy jokbal was deliciously hot, so I kept reaching for it!!

Personally, charcoal-grilled spicy jokbal is delicious with rice balls haha. They balance out the heat, and it is a good-good combination of carbs and protein!!

Makguksu with a jokbal wrap too

Makguksu comes with dine-in. It would be a shame not to have makguksu with jokbal, so I loved that it came together hahaha. Did you know? If you add makguksu when making a wrap, it is even more delicious haha. I ate so much that day that I was full until bedtime haha.
